My two are 4.5 years apart. I thought a bigger age gap would be easy, but it has not been. My son is soooo jealous of her and it been hard for him since he had me to himself for so long.

With DS I knew I was having a boy, so I wasnt surprised at all to find out he was indeed a boy. With DD I went back and forth. I didnt think I could ever have a girl so that made me think boy, but my grandma died the day I got a bfp so in that way I thought maybe it was a girl and if it was I would name her after my grandma.

I wanted mine to stay put until about 39 weeks because I was so sick and uncomfortable but my pre eclampsia was so bad and then I developed HELLP syndrome so I didnt have a choice in the matter and had to be induced in the 37th week, and by ultra sounds and doctors dates I was only in the 36th week. She was perfect though and didnt have a thing wrong with her.

Mine was that high for weeks and then I started spilling lots of protein in my urine and it did develop into severe pre eclampsia and I was induced that night. How far along are you right now? I hope it doesnt turn into pre elclampsia.

[quote user="heavenonearth509"]hang in there! i think a lot of us have had to deal with this at one point or the other. she def is probably unsure of the whole thing, thats why she is uncomfortable. but thats not your problem. i dealt with it with my "step" mother in law... when she would say, "how long are you planning on doing this?" or "when they have teeth, i think its time t...

My baby got her shots 2 weeks ago and did the opposite. She slept non stop for 3 days. I would wake her to eat and she would eat in her sleep and never wake up! Plus she got a fever, I was scared and called her doctor. I think its good you are calling her doctor tomorrow incase she is having a bad reaction.

Yesterday at Chevys I was bfing Kathryn and dhs sister was saying how she has heard lots of benefits to bfing (she doesnt have any kids and doesnt want any but she is very crunchy and lives a healthy lifestyle) So I told her about how it can help prevent asthma, allergies and exema. My son has all 3 of those problems and does does my dhs family. I told them about how it can lessen the chances of c...

I agree with all this. I had a very much needed c-section and baby and I could have died without it, but it did mess with bfing. My milk was so late coming in that my baby lost a pound of weight. When I had a normal birth with DS and was not induced my milk came in much quicker and he only lost a couple ounces.

She has to know how I feel like bfing because I never ever use bottles. This is what she bought, it looks nice but she only got it to give me the hint its time to bottle feed.

I do go to other rooms, but she still see me when she goes into that room. I think what bothers her the most though is when I bf her in public. I have no shame and feed her anywhere including restaurants, Farmers Market, just yesterday at a super crowded Chevys and the day before that Joes Crab shack which was packed on a Friday night. She was there at all those places just looking at me oddly. ...

I think you are ladies are right that maybe she just hasnt been exposed to bfing so she finds it uncomfortable. I always cover up in front of her though. She made the comment that at least I do cover myself, unlike other ladies she has seen. I am tempted to take that thing back to Williams Sonoma because I really dont plan on using it.

Dh has a step grandma who is 49 and never had kids. She is really a nice lady and we see her at least 2 or 3 times a week. But she has made comments that at least I cover up because its innapropriate to bf in public places. Also comments like "you are feeding that baby again!!!" seem to happen a lot. She has asked how much longer I plan on nursing Kathryn at least twice, and said maybe I should st...

Going to 2 kids has been very easy, but my baby is seriously easy and never cries. I mean never ever cries and is a pure joy. I can shop with her, try on clothes, go to any restaurant and she is happy as can be. But my son was a nightmare baby and I hated life the first year. He never slept, cried all the time and was just so hard. So for me having the first was way way way harder. I think a lot d...

I had an ultra sound at 14.5 weeks and to me it looked boyish but the tech knew it was a girl. There was 3 dots and the middle one stuck out far enough where it could look like a penis. You are still so early that you still have a good shot at a girl.

I had it with both babies. You will need 2 doses of antibiotics so I dont know about a water birth. Also GBS comes and goes so you may not have it when you are further along. You should get tested again around 36 weeks to see if you still have it.

She doesnt act thirsty, its just me being nervous figuring she is thirsty. So I am sure she is fine since she has tons of pee diapers and is as happy as can be. Thanks!
