I reread my post and decided the wording was too harsh and Hurtful. So I deleted it. Do not feel bad on this account. I'm all for responsible reproductive choices, ones that are well thought over. We owe this to our kids. I do not think having multiple children for no other reason than to get that second boy or that third girl is always a best choice for the family or the woman herself. Thats my p...
ppl always ask if we are having more just for the other boy and ofcourse i would never admit to anyone that yes, that's why I want to keep going.....
:)
It does not seem responsible to continue having more and more children for that reason ALONE.,,,,,,, Not that it is any of my business!

Im just like you, only exactly opposite :)). I really, really, REALLY wanted a son for my first child. Ashamed to say, I was really bummed when my baby turned out to be a girl. I felt like the whole world wanted boys as firstborns and I was getting a booby prize. Besides I viewed little boys as more fun and less dramatic, easier to raise and all that nonsense.[br]Needless to say I was ...

I am not sure if the husband still reads this site as the wife herself is openly critical of him in her original post, even mentioning "bitterness and hatred" she is feeling. This is HER support thread. She asks if anybody sympathizes with her and I say I do! Like any woman who has not provided the desired Male Heir at some point, I know it is goddamn painful. That rotten feeling of inadequa...

This info is very premature. The article you quote was published after only around 19 ladies out of a control group of 160 had delivered. That's way too few deliveries for the results to be significant.
They later posted an update:
So not that much different than the natural sex ratio of 51% males vs 49% females.

So his Manliness and the perpetuation of it are the most important things in his life.
Yet he throws a fit like a 4 year old girl (forgive the gender stereotyping!) when Mother Nature doesn't give Him the boy toy that He wants.
Then He lets His woman down when she is the most vulnerable and needs him the most. Because of His whim, He selfishly ruins what is supposed be the happiest time in her...

I agree that what bundle writes is VERY insensitive and disturbing. I cant help but notice however, that the poster who has the same stereotypical, negative feelings about GIRLS (prefers her boy, doesn't want girls at all, thinks all females are awful) received only supportive comments in her similarly insensitive thread. I think there is a double standard on these boards. Its OK to bash girls but...

Hmmm...With all the negative feelings that you have for females, it is interesting that you decided to bare "some of your innermost thoughts" here, to a bunch of ...WOMEN. And look what are you getting in response,,, Mostly support and understanding . From what I recall, you got neither support nor understanding from your current MAN, the father of your baby who voiced an interest in putting his o...

Funny, I came across this online poll ,which asked the question to the effect of : would you like the royal baby (Kate and Williams) to be a boy or a girl.
These are the results, which I think reflect the overall trend online:
Girl 8,566 votes 46%
Boy 5,400 votes 29%
Twins 4,462 votes 24%
And I also found a British one here http://community.babycentre.co.uk/post/a22717105/royal_baby_p...

I knew it!!! Of course its a boy. There is a turtle in there!
BIG CONGRATS!!!
Now where is my prize for guessing correctly? :))))
Book an elective if you have to but I think your money would be better spent shopping for cute boyish outfits!

Lol, you are right.
Damn! You ruined my theory.

Not convinced it is a girl. The arrow is not pointing to the labia at all in the pics. There might be something between the legs if I what I'm looking at ARE in fact the legs. Is it a BOY? Or do I just suck at sono pics?
Oh come on! Tell us already!

DONT! My very best friend is a single mom and she is my HERO (because she is a great mom and also very successful professionally). Its not any kind of stigma anymore - families come in all shapes and sizes these days. Please be proud of your little family and yes! flaunt it.

Funny thing, I asked myself the same, rather silly question, quite a few times before having my second. Well, the amount was different, I was thinking more like 1 million dollars and no boy EVER vs. a healthy boy and nothing else changes. 95% of the time the answer was - a boy, I would pick a boy. This is how much I wanted a son, and I couldnt even give you a reason for that, it was rather irrati...

Strange thing, I do not recall a single instance of someone fretting over their daughter's "horrible teenage years" and the unbearable "girl drama" when I was growing up in what was then a communist country. If anything, people worried that their boys might act out and hurt themselves during their daring teenage boy pursuits . We girls were not spoiled, we did not have multiple princess cos...

If you want to ban everyone who eventually got their DG you would have to remove most current posters, including ones you are so vehemently defending. And how about "removing" all people in real life , who, by simply having both genders " are rubbing it in". I have been through GD, I had it for a very long time and it was stronger than I ever dared to admit here. I put off TTCing for years becaus...

Very well put, mrspopo. I may add that all those who eventually got their DG (which includes myself) should stick to the following rule with regards to people currently suffering from GD in any way shape or form: ABSOLUTELY NO JUDGING, no preaching,no name calling, no condescending talk, no advice in the likes of "just be happy its healthy" "just be happy it did not die". It is presumptuo...

Wow. Just wow. So this is what the "welcoming and supportive forum" has come to.
Such kind of viciousness would be rare if somebody admitted to having GD on a regular pregnancy forum. Seriously, you should have been BANNED for writing this HERE.. In-gender, which used to be the only place one could freely discussthis taboo topic, has turned into a chatroom and mutual adoration forum for wome...

I have just checked out the pictures. I am not a tech or anything, Im just nub-obsessed. :-) SO. I think that there is a nub visible in that first photo and it looks like a boy nub with that boy-bulb at the end and pointing upwards (though this can be wrong because the baby is in a weird position). I would say its a boy by the nub theory and I hope Im wrong. Too bad none of the techs chimed-in.

Not again!
Stop feeling sorry for somebody else's children! Feel sorry for yours. You constantly pass judgement and label people as bad mothers.
What sort of a mother are YOU? You have what? Seven kids with number eight on the way?How much attention can you give to each of them, when you are constantly busy posting book-size posts on the Gender Disappointment forum??Rambling and ranting abo...
