Hi everyone! So I ended up going back to the doctor today and doc did another ultrasound on me. We weren't able to get a clear shot for a bit and then the cord FINALLY moved after I jumped around for a little bit and we got this shot. The doctor said 90% positive that it's a GIRL!! I am over the moon, but still nervous that the doctor is wrong and I will be COMPLETELY devastated. I am 16 weeks...

me too. All of those sleepless nights and anxiety was for nothing! And worse yet...doctor said she "thinks it's a girl" because of what appeared to be labia lines, but with the legs closed she couldn't confirm. Talk about a heartache. So now I am just in limbo with hope. My 11W5D nub shot looked very girlie so that doesn't help either. xx Aubrey

Well I am annoyed. The baby was positioned so we couldn't get a clear shot. Now I have to wait 4 more weeks. I can't take it!! UGHHH I will keep you all posted. Thanks for the support. I appreciate it...

According to some studies I have read. Nubs can still rise and it's easy to mistake a girl for a boy in the 11th week. At 11 weeks nub theory is iffy, however, the closer you get to 12 weeks the more accurate. This is good news for you who wants a boy and scary news for me, who is hoping my 11 week nub shot will stay flat! HTH

Well today is the BIG day. I am SOO nervous! I will keep you ladies posted...should hear back from me by mid day! Eeeek!! I hope I can hold it together if they say DS2. The loss of a dream will be rough for me :( I am glad I am finding out though so I can deal with it. I wouldn't want people visiting me in the hospital when I just find out later on. This is the right choice for me. FX!

Well the BIG day is coming tomorrow. I have butterflies in my stomach already. This is my last child, my last hope for the daughter I feel that I need in my life. Right now everything is peaceful because I still have hope, tomorrow it will be confirmed. My fingers and toes are crossed. I want to thank everyone on here for offering me their support, it means a lot to me. Cheers to tears of happines...

With DS I knew he was a boy even though I wanted a DD so badly! It wasn't a defense mechanism either, I just knew. I would do little "tricks" in my head to try and convince myself it was a girl even though deep down inside I knew he wasn't. This time I am really feeling like I am going to get my DD, but I am trying hard to convince myself it's a boy because I know that it will be really tough on m...

I couldn't sleep last night. Doctor is going to try and see gender for me on Thursday, I'll almost be 16 weeks then. Any last guesses?? I have my hopes up for a girl...I hope I hear that more than anything. This isn't the anatomy scan so I am just focusing on gender..my nerves!

Hey ladies...so I was searching the internet and came across these two studies...looks like nub theory is pretty accurate.
With the data provided...it seems like I have a pretty good chance at 11W5D of the fetus remaining a GIRL based on these statistics...right? It seems that the closer you are to 12 weeks the more accurate the nub theory is...what are your thoughts?

I was looking in the "confirmed girl gallery" and there were several nub shots from 11W5D that were indeed girls...this gives me some hope! I couldn't sleep last night because I am so nervous AND excited that a girl is such a possibility!! xo Thank you everyone and anyone else who has guesses!!! :)
