I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss, I can't even begin to imagine what you and your poor boys are going through [:(]

Sounds to me like she may have a streak of GD herself.
I've found quite a few people who go out their way to make rude remarks like that are trying to hide how their actually feeling themselves [*-)]
And particularly in your case when your son would have stood out to her so much in such a big crowd of girlies!

For me I've always wanted to have 3 children regardless of the sex and my dream family has always been 2 boys and 1 girl in any order.

With my first I was desperate to give my husband the son I knew he desperately wanted, despite him saying he wasn't fussed either way and that he thought it was a girl up until our 4d scan.

I dont think it's anything to do with family history.
Im from a PP, My mum's twin sister had [XY][XX] and their brother had [XX][XX][XY]
My dad has 2 brothers and they both have [XY][XX], he also has 2 sisters who have [XY][XX] and [XY][XY]
My cousins from my mum's twin sister both have a [XX][XY] each now.
I have [XY][XY] and my brother has [XX][XX].

I guess that's the thing with GD, It strikes in all ways, sometimes when we least expect it.

Once we have our third child (years away yet) that is us done, no matter what the sex. And I know what keeps me going is knowing there's still a chance so I can't imagine how it feels for you to know that you are truly done.
