Re: Photos of my girls:)

Your girls are gorgeous! I especially love the footsie picture with the wedding rings. [:)]

Re: The toys...

Oh I LOVE the girly toys. [:)] I have so many Barbies with clothes, accessories, etc in boxes in storage. I can't wait until I have a daughter and she's old enough to play with them. I also loved My Little Pony! Each year during Christmas I get a tag from one of those "Giving Trees" by the Salvation Army they have around and pick a little girl who wants Barbie, My Little Pony, etc. It's so f...

Did anyone have a failed sway, then sway again and get your DG?

I asked this question in the swaying forum a week ago or so but didn't get any responses, so I thought I'd try here. I'm just wondering, has this happened to anyone?

Re: Anyone else planning on swaying girl in the future?

I know exactly how that feels. I can see her too... little blue eyed blondie. DF and I both have brown hair now but as kids we were both blonde, especially DF. Sometimes I talk about her to DF like she's already here.

Re: Stopping birth control!

Sorry I don't have the answer for you, but I wanted to say congrats and good luck! I know I'm going to be so excited when I get to stop birth control [:D]I have wondered the same thing though. Whether I should plan on stopping bc a few months before planning on ttc to let things balance out in a sense, or if it'd be okay to just stop and go for it without it affecting my sway. Hopefully some...

Has anyone ever had a successful sway after a failed sway?

I'm just curious. I know swaying isn't 100%, but if I sway and it fails I think I'd be mad at myself for wasting all that time and not want to do it again lol. But I've seen plenty of other people on here whose sways apparently worked, so I really think there is something to swaying! But those of you who have had a failed sway, did you just not sway anymore, or did you try again and have it a...

Re: Anyone else planning on swaying girl in the future?

I'm so excited for you ladies who are swaying and ttc soon! I'll definitely be checking the boards for your updates. [:)]I hope your sways work and you get your girls! [GLC]

Re: Anyone else planning on swaying girl in the future?

Kermit - That's a great idea for the more expensive things! Then I won't feel like my sway is costing a small fortune lol. I'm also going to have to learn how to do the charting and practice checking my pH. I've really never had any reason to check my cm or its pH, so I'm sure the first few times are going to be laughable. [:$] BabyDust - Thank you for all the great info! You're pr...

Re: Is tofu okay on the girl diet?

Yeah I saw one earlier today, but I think i'll search through the threads and look for some more for ideas, thanks! And that's too bad about soy. [^o)] I kinda thought so but was hoping to hear different. [:P]

Is tofu okay on the girl diet?

I feel like I could do the girl recipes with chicken if I could use tofu (as I'm vegetarian). I looked up nutrition facts for tofu, and while it does have a fair amount of protein... it is low in sodium! It seems like it could be a substitute for chicken. Does anyone know if this is okay? And does soy sway boy?

Re: Anyone else planning on swaying girl in the future?

Oh I hope your DH gets on board and you get to ttc next year [:)]I went to Michael's today and bought some stones listed in the negative ions list. I think I'm just going to make my own bracelets and necklaces; it'll save money plus then I can have more options!  I'm also thinking of getting a salt rock lamp sometime too. I already eat lots of pasta so that'll be easy when I go on ...

Anyone else planning on swaying girl in the future?

Since it'll be our first and we plan on having 3-4, I'd be okay whether our first was a boy or girl, but with how bad I want a DD I'd really like to have a girl first. I feel like at least this way, I wouldn't be as anxious about whether or not I'll have a DD. Anyway, at first I didn't want to sway for our first but now I'm wanting to. I also just got DF on board.[:D]  Since we most lik...

Re: How do I do the girl diet if I am a vegetarian???

I've looked over the girl diet and the girl cookbook several times... and I feel like I'm going to have NO energy when I'm on it! How long did you do the strict diet for? Did you have low energy, headaches, etc or anything?

Re: How do I do the girl diet if I am a vegetarian???

I'm not on the diet yet as we're waiting a while to ttc... but DF recently agreed to do a girl sway with me when we do start. I'm also a vegetarian, so I've been wondering the same thing as you! I wish I could be more help... but I just wanted to let you know you're not the only veggie who's wondering how to make the girl diet work. [:)]

Re: Irish girl names that aren't hard to pronounce??

I love the name Fiona! As one of my girl combos I have Kelsey Fiona. Though lately I've been liking the name Fiona so much that I'm thinking of Fiona Kelsey instead... or even just nixing Kelsey all together.

Re: Ayla vs Calia

Calia Joy [:)] Ayla is pretty too but I really like Calia Joy, though I'm not a huge fan of Christine. Calia Joy makes me think of a happy, smiling little girl. I can see a little blonde girl running around outside chasing butterflies. [;)]  Ayla Christine... sounds a little more serious to me. Maybe a woman that knows what she wants and is a hard worker.

[quote user="saggyrl11"]  I'm trying to convince myself that BBBGG is way cooler lol. Re: Another lame FB status

Wth? Who does that?! If I knew what color dust I had I'd definitely throw lots and lots of blue dust her way for you [:P] It's probably kinda mean but I always hope people who gender bash or are rude and irritating about it never get their DG [rofl]

17 Jul 2010 1:37 AM

Re: Another lame FB status

I really hate when people bash either gender. For pete's sake they're babies! I do think some people make those comments because they're jealous, but it still doesn't justify it.  There was a time in an elevator at the doctor a few months ago, there was a pregnant woman and two elder ladies. The elder ladies started making small talk with the pregnant woman so of course gender came up. ...

Re: Back from my scan.... and.....

I am SO SO SO HAPPY for you!!!! I'm shaking with tears in my eyes for you! I know how much you wanted a girl especially after 4 boys. I have this gut feeling that my first will be a girl (I'm not even pregnant yet lol), and even though my first coule very well be a boy, if you'd have heard boy this time I was going to feel so guilty!I've been checking all morning for your update. So happy yo...

Re: Do your arms ever ache?

GBBG and Anastasia... thank you for your advice. It's what I keep trying to tell myself - it's good to hear others suggest it too. Even though it feels like forever sometimes I know that 2.5 years will fly by. It doesn't scare me to hear how long it's taken others to get pregnant. it helps sometimes actually. I think about how there could be a couple TTC right now that it'll take 3 years for...

Re: don't want to hear "its a boy" on Friday.... or ever again...

It's 10:30 in Seattle and that's the"last' time zone in the US (besides Alaska and Hawaii [:D]) so she should know by now...I'm so nervous for you even though I don't know you, my stomach has been in knots all morning for you! I really, really, really hope you hear girl! I have no idea what color my dust is but if I have any pink in me I'll definitely share!!!

Re: Who thinks it is wrong to try for another baby if you want the baby to be a specific gender?

Personally, I don't think it's wrong to try again because you want a certain gender. I think you should be well aware that you might not get your DG though, and be in a state so that you would be able to accept that. I think it's fine to be disappointed and sad if you don't get your DG, but to truly be not okay with the opposite sex, I think it can get a bit dangerous there.

Re: Do your arms ever ache?

Well it isn't 100% set, we just decided that that's the absolute longest we'll wait [HL] I have another year left of school, I graduate in June 2011 with my teaching certificate. My DF has been done with school but hasn't had very good luck with jobs in this economy. Everything he's been able to find so far has been temp. So right now it's mainly finances. If things go well we could pro...
