I think sometimes a mother's instinct can be off when she has a strong preference. At least that's what I've read. In my case it was true: around 9-10 weeks I woke up in the middle of the night and just knew... the baby was a boy. I just felt it. Can't explain it. I had really wanted to give my DH the daughter he'd been hoping for but I just couldn't shake the feeling...

Wow, April is looking like a strong boy month! Congrats Minimonster, My1dream, and Sparkle! So glad your babes are healthy too and doing well.
We had it confirmed at our 19 week anatomy scan a few weeks ago that our baby is a girl! My DH was quietly hoping for one... I would have been delighted either way! And yay, babe is healthy too and all is well so far. :)

Hi--I've already posted in the ultrasound forum, and got all girl
guesses on these potty shots, and I am doing my best to believe it,
but I really need to be bonked on the head over and over with this one
because doubt creeps in. [;)] We were kinda hoping for a girl, so
maybe I'm still in shock. Here

Congratulations! My best friend was due in Nov also and had her daughter last Thurs at 34 weeks (baby measured 35.5). I had been planning her shower which was set for Sat--needless to say, we're rescheduling it. :) Glad you and your son are doing well, and congrats again!

Yeah, I know what you mean! The first 13 weeks I was almost positive I was carrying a boy. No reason, just a gut feeling. So much for my instincts! LOL I have to fight myself sometimes--I've asked myself, is all this obsessing really helping me? Of course it isn't, but I end up doing it anyway. Good grief! Thanks girls! I'm trying to get used to the news... (Of course it doesn't help that I keep reading about people being told the wrong gender!). DH wants to get a "little something" for her (!!) tonight, and since we've never shopped on the girl side, it's going to be a surreal experience.... I'll just keep the receipt. Would love though for more people to chime in... Or for a tech to weigh in! ;) T...

OK, so I was just reading about seeing 3 lines on a boy ultrasound. I know it's early, but seems you ladies are telling me these are true girlie lines, right?! Thanks for all the input so far! :)
