Oh honey I am so very sorry to read this. Please know that nothing you said, thought, mentioned, wrote or otherwise could have caused this. I know your feeling guilt for initially wanting a boy, but you did nothing wrong. These things just happen, and there is nothing any of us can do to prevent it.

Yes, I think you should ask and no I don't think your being selfish at all. If it will calm your nerves and help you bond then go for it!! I know your DH's comment about "falling down the stairs" was only sarcastic lol But all the other things that have you anxious are good reasons to ask for an ultrasound. Especially after your recent loss (((hugs)))

It happened to me with DS 2. At my 20 week anatomy scan they told me they saw what's called Amniotic Rings around his arms and one leg. Apparently, they cut off blood supply and he would be born without those appendages.
Went to a bigger hospital a few weeks later and they were not there! Whewww... [pray]
I hope everything turns out okay for your little one!

My DH and I have 5 children. We both work. He has a full time job making decent money and I have a part time job. We do okay for ourselves. Definitely NOT rich by any means.
