Re: Encouraging Signatures (Siggies)

Now I'm not trying to sour the mood because there definitely is a great chance that you could have a baby boy next time. But there is also a great chance you could have another baby girl. Everyone was telling me the same thing (how common GB families are) so I was kinda convincing myself that I would have a boy. Well, lo and behold, she's all girl [HL] Though I was upset for a few ...

Re: prayers needed please

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I'll pray for your baby boy to stay in for longer. Have comfort in knowing that you're far enough along to where they will give him care & he has 50% chance of survival..way higher than if this happened at 24 or 23 weeks. Have faith your baby will be okay.

Re: feel embarassed

Don't feel embarrassed! I know exactly how you feel. I'm 31 weeks today and I found out at 20 weeks this is a little girl. I have an 8 year old daughter already and I was really sad and disappointed at first. Like, I literally wasn't excited about the pregnancy for a couple weeks there. But now, I'm sooo excited! I am so happy to be getting another little girl and if she was to come out a he...

Re: Thought I'd be okay by now......

I'm sorry hun. This GD is hard, huh? I'm in the same situation as you, except I'm expecting my 2nd girl. I kinda figured I might be "lucky" and get one of each too, since I'm not lucky with anything else, maybe this would be the thing that would finally go right. But no, it's a girl and I'm even though I'm starting to really accept it and get excited about her, the thought of never having a son is...

Re: So you got your DG......is it all you imagined it would be?

[quote user="AlphaCentauri82"]Actually no.....but it's not a bad thing. I really wanted a girl and I'm glad I have a daughter, but I have realized that even though I had my DG, it didn't stop me from getting post partum depression. Getting my DG didn't stop me from having low breastmilk and a daughter that hated my breastmilk and preferred Similiac.  It didn't prevent a colick...

Re: At dr appt with a room filled with baby girls...

Aww I'm sorry hun and I know how you feel..well except the opposite. It seems when I go to my doctor I'm surrounded by women with beautiful baby boys =( If only I could be pregnant with a boy and you could be pregnant with a girl! Not fair is it?

Harajuku Mini ~ Adorable clothes for BOTH sexes xD

So at first I was a little down about another girl but I've really warmed up to it. What has helped has been clothes! LOL.. I looked through my daughter's old clothes (She's 8 now so it's been a while) and she has so many cute outfits I'm excited to use again! (even a couple Baby Dior) But just because I have so many clothes for my new daughter already doesn't mean she doesn't deserve some new stu...

Re: will this work?

Congrats!!! How exciting and what a miracle! Try not to concentrate on the what if's and just try to be in the here and now. Embrace the fact that you're finally getting the son you've always wanted!

Re: Anyone here need a son for family name to survive?

ME! My fiance has a brother who has 2 daughters and his wife had her tubes tied so they are DONE. So it's up to us. My first daughter is from a previouis relationship, so this is his first child. He's very happy but he did hope for a boy. Hopefully the next one will be a boy. We want 4 (INCLUDING my DD) so we have 2 more shots..

Sweet blog about girls =)

I saw this on a woman's blog and thought I'd share it for us girl moms..so sweet: Having girls can be hard. They are more dramatic, more tempermental and much more expensive!!! But they are also so loving, funny and when they're together it's the sweetest thing in the world! They take care of each other, have more fun together and are little mommies to each other. I love alw...

Re: POSITIVES....(lets try this again)

GIRLS:My daughter looks to me as her role model. She wants to be just like me and do the things I do. She wants to wear what I wear. She wants me to put make up on her =)If I'm having a bad day, she senses it and asks me what's wrong and really listensShe tells me she loves me a lotShe's a mama's girl (Her dad isn't in her life) and yes that means she LOOOVES her mama more than anything [love]She ...

Is anyone pregnant and ALREADY thinking about their next child??

Yes..I am.. I'm pregnant with a girl which I AM excited about now. BUT I'm already thinking "Well..in 2 or 3 years, we will try again for a boy" Is that terrible? I feel bad thinking that because it's like I'm not giving THIS baby the proper attention, but I can't help it! Anyone else think this waY?

Re: Asking for prayers for my baby. Doctor made me a bit nervous today.

In the beginning of this pregnancy, I was measuring small. I know EXACTLY when my LMP was and EXACTLY when I ovulated. So when I went into my first ultrasound thinking I was 8 weeks 5 days and they told me the baby was measuring 7 weeks 4 days, I was scared something was wrong! But the baby has continued to grow at a healthy rate and was super healthy and perfect at my 20 weeks ultrasound =)...

Re: and the count goes up to 9

I wish we could swap the genders of our children! I'm one of those women who's carrying a girl and I would love if I was having a boy instead! I'm in the opposite position, because it seems like everyone around me is having BOYS! And I'm the only one having a girl...My cousin is pregnant and due ONE DAY after me! She already has three kids in this order: GBG. She isn't finding out what she's...

Feeling MUCH better..BUT

I have a wonderful 8 year old daguhter. I became pregnant in late August/early September. I was hoping, praying, wishing for a boy! I love my daughter more than life itself but I wanted a son more than words can say. I only looked at boy clothes, I called the baby "he", I thought of boy names. My fiance and I were CONVINCED this was a boy!! Well, I went to my 20 week scan on Wednesday (1...

Re: So afraid of hearing "it's a boy" and only 8 weeks pregnant

Wow...I can completely relate to you!! Just switch the genders around: I have an 8 year old daughter and wasn't planning on having anymore for a while, but I became pregnant in late August/early September. I was hoping, praying, wishing for a boy! I love my daughter more than life itself but I wanted a son more than words can say. I only looked at boy clothes, I called the baby "he", I thought of ...

Please let me tell my fiance this is for sure a girl =(

My fiance really wanted a boy too and keeps saying "well maybe it IS a boy"...he is just making it worse. Please look at my ultrasound pic and tell my your opinion so I can show this thread to him. I'm no expert. I'm disappointed but not in denial. It is a girl and he has to get used to it!

Re: Ultrasound in four days! UPDATE: IT'S A.............

Thank you for your kind words everyone. Someone mentioned that I'll feel better when I see my girls playing together..but DD1 is 8 years old and will be almost 9 when DD2 is born, so I don't think they'll do much playing =(

Re: Ultrasound in four days!

Please answer how long does this feeling last? I know it's still the day I found out..but I keep wishing it was a boy instead of a girl, and then I feel guilty because my baby didn't choose to be here or to be a girl [:(]

Re: Ultrasound in four days!

Thank you everyone! I can't wait to find out. I'm nervous but also excited. I wanted to have them write it down, but it's my fiance's first child and, even though he wants a boy, he's excited no matter what and I don't want to take that away from him. So I'm just going to find out on the table. Wish my luck and thanks for the blue dust from all of you!Chazbaz-That's so exciting and I hope ho...
