Re: Family Balancing

Hi Sunny, I would say 95% of women are on this site for family balancing.  This is generally not a forum for infertile women although everyone is welcome and quite a few still join in.  Overall, the women on this site have had normal fertility with their first brood and are now looking at options to complete their family by balancing the sexes. Godd luck with yourjourney.

Re: Aussies have you say!!!

Hi there, I am a bit late in replying but I rarely check in here anymore.  Coincidentally, my friend just called me today and said she saw this story in Womans Day about a lady with 7 sons.  She said the article was very positive.  Anyway, just wanted to say that when i did all that media stuff last year, you will probably remember that I got a pretty hard time.  I was being c...

Re: Update from MinDoc

Hi Mindoc, You were one of the girls to inspire me to follow my dream.  I went to Bangkok in October 10 and HRC in January 11 and am 21 weeks pregnant with my DD.  I am also on the other site but love checking in when I can.  Good luck to you all.

Re: She is here:-)

Hi Cloverbear- you were one of the original girls that I was wtaching when I decided to cycle in Bangkok a month or so after you.  It was a BFN in the end but I still talk about this Australian girl who had 7 boys and finally 'got' her girl!  I figured you had given nature a real chance and it was time to give the scientists a go.  I was so thrilled when you got your BFP and it is g...

Re: congratulations my three sons on your pregancy with baby girl! :)

Hi there, I have been having terrible problems on this site and have been unable to post for weeks.  I logged a support email but surprise, surprise- didn't here anything.  I have been hanging around at another site that works and has lots of familiar faces which is nice.  Thanks for checking on me though.  I am 18 weeks pregnant with my DD after one failed cycle in Bang...

Re: It's officially negative

I feel so mad for you- after trying so many times, surely it is your turn.  You and "3 for me" really have had a rough run of it and I wish you all the best. X

Re: Considering MicroSort + PGD...conflicted

I could have written your post but I have three gorgeous sons.  We decided that I needed to try and fail rather than never try at all.  It took 2 cycles and I am pregnant now with my DD and am unbelievably fulfilled!  No one can make the decision for you but as someone said to me, you need to be sure that at the end of your life, will you have any regrets or will you say I am happy ...

Re: Second Beta

Congrats to you and your family. Your persistance (and a bit of luck) has finally paid off. Now the waiting really starts!

Re: It's too early, right?

You are very naughty..... and human!  We nearly all test too early and although we tell ourselves we won't care if it is negative because we know it is too early, we still get disappointed.  I reckon at least another 2 days, maybe 3 or 4.  Hang in there but I know the wait is excruciating.

Re: First Beta

That is so fantastic.  Congrats to you and your family.

Re: My 3 Sons

Hi Mean, I tool them up until ER although Dr Potter didn't say to stop I just thought that they were for egg quality so that part was done.  I was not very good at taking them.  Three times a day was a real burden and I was more sporadic than routine with them which was not ideal.  I flt woozy, tired when I was on them. Hope they help you. XX

Re: New Forum Leaders
Bahahahahaha!!!!!!!!! Yeah, that was totally the whole point of my PM, 3forme. Good grief. Nobody cares who goes to another site. There is no contract anywhere saying people must be exclusive to IG, nor is there any reason for anyone who is a member at any other site on the world wide web to be made to feel guilty for doing so. Re: 32 eggs retrieved, 13 mature, 9 fertilize

I had 13 retreived, 7 fertilised and 4 were able to be tested at Day 3.  I got one girl and am 10 weeks pregnant.  9 should be enough.  FX for you. XX

Re: Long lupron or Flare?

Hi Stacey, I have been on Long Lupron for both of my cycles.  The first (Bangkok) was just Gonal F and my January cycle was Gonal F (225) and Menopur.  My first cycle I got a higher fertilisation rate but the 2 girls transferred didn't stick.  My January cycle I got 13 eggs, 7 fertilised, 4 made it to PGD and had 1 AA hatching blast to transfer.  I am now 10 weeks pregnant.&nb...

A little positive news...

I am conscious of our 'sisters in arms' who are doing it tough at the moment, but I wanted to share some good news. I had my 10 week scan today and my little girl is still there- strong and healthy.  She is measuring spot on for dates and has a heart beat of 173. I am finally starting to enjoy this and wish all you girls luck in chasing your dreams.   This was my second cycl...

Re: We have a heartbeat!
MY 3 SONS ******** If I could know which clinic you had your PGD done at? I am looking at having PGD sex selection for a girl but still looking at clinics and their success rates. Sorry to be a sticky beek.
Hi there, I used Dr Potter for this successful cycle.  I had one unsuccessful cycle in Bangkok at SART.  Good luck to you.

Re: Day 3 report

That is so great.  After your beta, you have an ultrasound at about 7 weeks.  Dr Potter also wanted me to have one at 8 weeks and 10 weeks.  I asked Lori if I could go straight to the 10 week scan which is today!  The Americnas also repeat the beta in 2 days whereas my frineds in Australia only seem to have the one beta.  I have found the wait between the first BFP and now...

Re: Update on me - ER this morning *UPDATE*

I know you are down- but I sent only 4 to PGD/ GSN and got 1 normal girl and 2 normal boy and am now 10 weeks pregnant with my daughter.  ( and I know you think that you are not lucky, but I always thought that I could never be so lucky but here we are).  Hang in there love.

I am so sorry.  I was checking for your post all day and was so hopeful for a great report.  I am so upset for you and wish I had something to say that would cheer you up... but I know there is nothing.  XX
