Re: any family member/friend even add to GD?

Well it was more than just GD I was dealing with, it was miscarriages as well at the time.  You see 2 years ago I had 2 miscarriages in a row while trying to sway boy.  This was after 3 girls in a row.  Then not long after that my one SIL announced she was pregnant with twin boys.  Not too much later my sister found out her first baby was a boy, that she half swayed f...

Re: getting excited about your attempt?

I just have to LOL that you were planning so far in advance.  I've never planned a baby for more than a few months, except for when I was waiting a year in between pregnancies.  Honestly though I wouldn't say I was excited about my attempt, but completely nervous and freaked out!  This is my last chance to get a boy, if it's a 5th girl we are done having kids.

Re: Who is having a BOY and its baby #1?????

I wish.  I always wanted a boy or two for my firsts.  And if I was only having my first right now and knew about IG I at least would have hope of not ending up with 4 of the same gender in a row, since I would know about swaying.

Re: Please share your boy diet 1 day menu...pretty please

No stinking idea.  LOL!  I had a little bit of a birth control pill/cycle mixup problem last month, so I'm still taking them until this Saturday then will be off for good.  Hopefully it will be long enough to get them out of my system.  Meanwhile I have no idea when my next AF or ovulation will be.  I was trying to line it up with the full moon between January 8-14th, be...

punkin- I should probably know what all of these abbreviations mean, but I'm clueless.  What is RJ/BP/FUR and ASG and ASV and RJ/BJ?
it's OK,  RJ/BP is royal jelly bee pollen and it's suppose to be taken seperately from meals. ASG is Alka Seltzer Gold and it replaces Baking soda & Cream of Tarter Drinks and it has to ...

Re: Please share your boy diet 1 day menu...pretty please

wishing4aSon- We are both in the same boat since I'm also trying in January, I have so many quetitons about doing the boy diet that I'm glad you asked!  Do you know yet exactly which day you are having your first try on, or is your countdown ticker just a guess? I've only been doing the diet for a week and have just been trying to make do with the foods we have, and have been slowly buying m...

Re: Breastfeeding and Swaying

It says under the FAQ to not try to breastfeed and sway.  Since your cycles won't be regular and the diet and supplement may make your milk no good for your baby.  So you are supposed to wean first.  That being said my DD4 won't wean, she just won't.  She's 10 months old and I want to TTC once she is a year old, but I'm supposed to have a few cycles to chart without breastfeedi...

Re: What were your grandmothers names??

I'm going to list my step-grandmas and grandma-in-laws too...Christine Mayme, Virgie (Virginia) Mae, Darlene Estelle, Jean, Doris, and LaVetta. I named DD3 Lily after my great-grandma Lillian.  And DD4 after my great-great grandma Isabelle.  [HH]

Re: Those that eat/ate potatoes and bananas (boy diet)

I've been doing the diet for only a week and have actually lost weight (like at least 5 lbs) because I'm not eating sugary and fatty dairy foods anymore as well as most breads.  Which honestly made up the bulk of my diet.  Even though now I'm eating mostly just potatoes, fruits, and meats, and veggies I still feel hungry a lot and can't figure out what to snack on to feel full....

Re: Which Wiggle do you have a crush on?
OK I know I am way too into this, but I saw Anthony in People Mag a while ago with pics of him and his newborn baby--he has all girls, not sure how many, but he has a beautiful family, he looked so happy.
Actually I just read that Anthony has 2 girls and 1 boy.  "He married Micheala Patistas on May 3, 2003. Daughter's Lucia Angela Marie Field was born...

Re: Which Wiggle do you have a crush on?

Oh my gosh, you gals are too funny!  I always loved Greg though, and now he is gone.  [:(]  And his replacement is not for me.  Anthony is good too though a very close 2nd.  But we don't get that cable channel, so I only get to see any of them on video.  We just get PBS so I'm all about the Man in the Yellow Hat on Curious George!  J/K! Rich is pretty cute and s...

Re: Being a Cub Scout Den Mother while having all girls.

It does.  [:(]  I've always wanted someone to talk to about this, but it's hard to find other LDS women on IG.  Even harder to find ones with all girls.  But you ladies with only boys and both are better than nothing!  I just want someone who can understand how the way the roles the boys/men play in the church can cause me so much GD, because I have no son to ever w...

Re: Being a Cub Scout Den Mother while having all girls.

Like being called to the nursery or primary when you are stuck at home with kids 24/7!  When they don't realize the Grandmas or childless couples might enjoy it more? At this point, it's really not sooooo bad GD wise, more so is the time I have to put in.  Since DH has to babysit so I can go to these things and we are just really busy right now.  I just feel bad for the la...

Re: Being a Cub Scout Den Mother while having all girls.
In this same church, they call all boy moms to the young women classes, etc.  I think they don't really have a clue about GD, in general.  They just see a need for a calling, and fill it -  you got lucky. If it helps at all... I was cub comittee chair person...and hated every minute of it.  It's just not my thing.  Hopefully, you'll soon...

Re: Thanksgiving food... and the gender diet.. for ttc boys and ttc girls

If I want to be bad and have calcium during the holidays can I just drink a caffeined beverage and block calcium absorption?  My attempt won't be until 2-5 weeks after Christmas (depending on when ovulation lands).

Re: when do women typically lose their plug?

Sorry!  I have gone over and been induced with all of mine, and it sucks!  Always waiting and wondering when it will finally be your turn while everyone around you is having theirs before you.  But honestly once it's all over you'll wonder what the big deal was, since having a newborn is harder than being extremely pregnant.  I know that doesn't help though.  Also it'...

Re: I love Robert Pattinson(twilight).....but

Only 3 more days!  Yay!  I'm gonna go see New Moon at 6:30 PM with my DH if I can get tickets today (there still are some available here!), wouldn't even try to stay up late if I could get midnight tickets.  Is it weird though that I love Twilight and I think Rob is a cutie but I'm not all crazy about the actors like some people are?  I'm just into seeing the m...

Re: Coping with Husband GD

Do you have someone nearby that you trust to babysit for you when you need it, since you may not be able to trust your husband?  Honestly I think it's crazy that after so many fertility problems that your husband couldn't just be happy with any baby, but oh well.  Have you sat down and talked to him about why he is so much against a girl?  And why he wouldn't be willing to...

Re: Does birth order matter when you have a lot of kids???

Well the only thing I have to go off of is my DH's family.  You see his siblings were [XX][XX][XY][XX][XX][XY][XY][XY], he is the 3rd child and 1st boy.  There are 5-6 years between him and the next boy then the others are around 2-3 years each after that.  He says he only had a sort of sibling relationship with his sisters, but his younger brothers were just annoying.  So...

Re: Vincent

Is that good or bad?  I had no idea who it was, so I had to google it.  I still have no idea whether that's good or bad.  LOL!  He's an actor who does horror films?

Re: If I got pregnant now

LOL!  Probably a girl.  And not because of BFing since I've heard of plenty that have boys doing that.  But because obviously without swaying your body naturally produces girls.

Vincent

Need opinions on this name!  Like, don't like, first thoughts, nicknames, impressions, etc.  Thank you!

Re: Do you pick names before conceiving? Is it hard to name your desired gender?

Just to throw it out there the name I love is Vincent, but my DH doesn't like it.  His family names are William and Thomas.  My family names are Robert and Allen.  We both have Carl, Henry, and James (DH's fav) in our family.
