Re: Vincent

I don't like it but that is because I know 2 guys with this name and I don't like either of them.  One goes by Vince the other goes by Vincent or Vinnie.

Re: PGD lab - Reprogenetics? 12 Probe FISH or 24 Chromosome Microarray CGH?

I think that is a great choice!  I believe ABC123 is also using 12 probe but hasn't finalized her decision.  I can't remember if she replied to this thread so hopefully she will see it if she didn't and she can chime in.

Re: Kate Moss

I totally agree with the statement.  I am majorly overweight and would give or do anything to be skinny.  Nothing would ever taste as good as how I would feel if I was skinny.  Now coming from Kate Moss I don't know but the statement would be very true for me if/when I get to that point.I know there are issues with teenage girls taking that statement out of context but I guess...

Re: Saylor for a girl... wierd or no?

Well since I know this name very well, I have to say that I love it as a first name. I am somewhat partial to it though LOL! I will say that my husband wasn't teased but he did get the boat comments (then again he was in the navy),there was also Popeye comments, but other than that he was not teased. Oh and this is not his first name. I say if you like it go for it. It isn't a made up name but unu...

Re: Anyone taking or took Metformin during pregnancy?

I have PCOS as well and when going through my IVF cycles I was always on Metformin and assured that it was totally safe by at least 4 different doctors.  I think you are just fine and I totally agree that the GD would be more of a danger than the Metformin.  I am also on a PCOS website and I would say the majority of those women are also on Met during their pregnancies.

Re: Abnormals

Definitely don't count yourself out yet!  LOL!  There are lots of things that can cause abnormal embryos and to be honest the only people that would know how to fix this are the RE's.  If you haven't had your insulin tested then I would do that as that can sometimes cause poor quality embryos as well as increase the chance of aneuploidy. The other option is to get a 2nd opinion...

Re: my vaginal readings seem to be higher than everyone elses....

I would sign up for a membership at fertilityfriend.com.  You can record your temps there and it will give you red cross hairs when your temp spikes up.  You do need 3 days of consective high temps in order for you to get the crosshairs but it takes the guess work out of everything.  Here is a good guide to go by for when you will O based on your Cue Peak. When your cue peak is...

Re: SART reports? Much Lower rates at GIVF

[/quote] It should give you a pretty close idea as to what your clinics success is though.  It may be off by a few percentage points either way but it should matter who they accept and who they don't.  Here is a good example.  CCRM in Colorado takes on the impossible of the impossible as far as IVF cycles go.  In 2007 CCRM had 31% of their patients with Dominished Ovarian R...

Re: my vaginal readings seem to be higher than everyone elses....

CD8 is your Cue Peak but I would call Zetek and tell them your sensor is broken and see what they say.  You can tell them you purchased it from your sister and they will be able to look up her information.  It is worth a try anyway.Taking your temp is super easy.  If you don't wake up at the same time everyday you will need to set an alarm so that you do wake up at the same ti...

Re: Qustion about O.

How is this possible?  I have never heard of an egg traveling across your abdomen and be picked up by the opposite tube.  The only way for the egg to get down into the fallopian tube is by the fingers of the fallopian tube.  If the egg releases but the fingers of the fallopian tube do not work then the egg just floats around in the abdomen but has nowhere to go.  Here is a vid...

Re: my vaginal readings seem to be higher than everyone elses....

Stick the sensor in water and see what the reading is.  Then put a dash of salt in the water and see what the reading is and then dry it off and take a reading holding the sensor in the air.  You should get all sorts of readings doing it that way.  If your readings are still over 400 after the sensor is tested then that could be your normal number even though they say anything...

Re: When will I ovulate? Help with the Ovacue please, Michaela!

If you are doing OPK's 3 times per day I can't imagine that you would miss your surge.  Hopefully your reading will go down even more tonight or you get a +OPK soon.

Re: So if I.....

I would go with the clinic success rate and then call them to ask them what their success rate is for the MS/IVF cycles that they have done. They will have had to kept track of those numbers and should know them anyway.  As far as personal success rates they are going to give you a higher success rates than their clinic's success rates if you are fertile, have a normal FSH level, and ar...

Re: Dog behaving badly - what would you do?

Awww I think you are making the right choice because all of you will be happy in the end!  I know I said I have labs but said yours was a retriever which is what he is.  I have a Labrador Retriever and you have Golden Retriever, same family of dogs just different breeds.  He definitely looks like a Golden to me!  LOL!

Re: In-Gender is FAR superior to TheBump

LMAO!  Those girls came on our site last year and it was the worst thing I have ever seen on here.  Actually it was unbelievable!  I am infertile but I don't care that you all want a certain gender, that is your choice.  When they came on here it was the infertiles vs. the gender wishing people and it was nasty that is for sure! ETA: I think it was called thenest.com back when ...

Re: Bed rest after ET

I think you would be fine.  Some docs don't even do bedrest so I think as long as you don't lift a finger and don't have to run through airports then I can't imagine why you couldn't leave.
