Re: Bought gold but cant see anything new yet?

Hi Chandni, can you tell me the email address you used in Paypal so I can fix your account manually?  Sorry about the problem, most of the time the accounts are upgraded automatically but every now and then I have to do it manually -- thanks for buying a gold membership!

Re: Where is 'forum options' button?

Hi Jessica, The "forum options" button is next to the "write a new post" button at the top of the forum.  The options button opens a box at the bottom of the forum that shows options about filtering and sorting the posts in the forum.  Sometimes you will see the message that "this forum has no posts, or all posts are hidden due to a filter, try changing the forum options".&nbs...

Because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here's a quick poll about breast cancer: Have you, your family, or someone close to you, been affected by breast cancer?

New! You can now create your own InGender blog!

Previously I had to manually create a blog for you (and apologies to those who had to wait for this!) -- now you can create your own blog!Just click the Blogs tab, then click Create a Blog.  You can choose the group for your blog (high tech, swaying, adoption, etc.), and you can also choose who can see your blog (everyone, members, or Gold only).  I have also added a "My Blog" link...

Re: Got the results of the genetic testing from the D&C

((Hugs)) -- I guess it is bittersweet to get the answer, because it is tough to know that this little embryo with all your hopes riding on it didn't have a chance, yet also you know that there is nothing you could have done to cause the m/c.I do NOT think this spells doom for your other embies!   They may all be perfect!  Lots of pink dust to you. Re: If you have a yahoo email address: Most email to Yahoo from this site is currently being rejected.

If you have registered using a yahoo email address, and you have not received your password, the problem above with yahoo is the reason.  I hope to have this resolved by the end of the day.    If you have still not received the registration email with your password: Please wait until later today, and go to the login page, and click the"forgotten password" link to resend the em...

Re: OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate Facebook!

I know, it is tough to see that stuff -- even if it is not something you would want to do (like the pedicure), it is a reminder of the things you feel like you're shut out of.  I have a friend on FB who is the mom of 4 boys, and sometimes I will see mutual friends posting things like "Cassidy had soooo much fun at the princess party today!" Or Brownies. Or getting her dance recital cost...

Re: Can they miss a twin on an early ultrasound?

At 9 weeks?? Seriously, was it a real u/s tech? I have NO idea how you could miss a second babe at 9 wks. None. At 5-6 wks, yes, I can understand that it could be missed (albeit rare), but after 6 wks, that 2nd heartbeat is pretty hard to not see. Wow. Just wow. [/quote] CC, it was just a quick peek in the doctor's office, and it was just the regular nurse doing it.  She looke...

Re: Can they miss a twin on an early ultrasound?

I had u/s at 6 and 9 weeks and they only saw one baby, at which point I assumed it was confirmed beyond any doubt that there was one baby.  Imagine my surprise at my 20 week u/s. [:O]

Re: iphone...blackberry..or other... what does everyone have and do you like it. (POLL)

My DS types really fast with 2 thumbs, but I do better with 1 fingertip.  I honestly think my DH has a hard time because his fingers and cuticles are rough and calloused, and that interferes with touching the screen -- the screen won't react to dead skin, just  like it won't work with a fingernail -- maybe I should get him an iPhone manicure, lol.

Re: iphone...blackberry..or other... what does everyone have and do you like it. (POLL)

Do you mean you had a hard time typing?  When I first got it I was really frustrated with typing because I am used to typing at light speed but I couldn't type very well on iPhone! But just like anything else, it just took a little practice and now I can type pretty fast (and the auto-correct usually helps).  My DH won't even consider an iphone because he can't type on it, and I ke...

Re: Expectant twin mama told me she thinks they might travel during their paternity leave!

ROFL....we went on a LONG car trip when our first baby was 9 weeks old!  Like an 11 hour drive!  It was my DH's best friend's wedding but I still can't believe we did it.

If you have a yahoo email address: Most email to Yahoo from this site is currently being rejected.

The Yahoo email server is currently refusing to accept email from this site; I am checking to see what, if anything,  I can do about this.  In the meantime, if you just registered using a yahoo.com email address and you are waiting for your password, you will be unable to receive it. [:(]

Re: Moral issues and deciding what to do

These are some great points about success rates.  I know that some people go into this thinking, "those rates don't apply to me because I'm fertile" (I admit that's what I thought myself).  Having successfully conceived and carried a baby is definitely a point in your favor, but for example, a lot of women are infertile because of blocked fallopian tubes.  Even though you may ...

Flu self-assessment web site helps you find out if you have H1N1 flu symptoms, and whether you should see a doctor or just stay home

This web site asks questions about fever, other symptoms, and health conditions; it tells you whether you are likely to have H1N1 and advises whether it is okay just to stay home and rest, or whether you should see a doctor.   This is not for young children, only for those over 12 years old.  Based on material from Emory University.H1N1 Swine Flu Response Center
