Help!!! I have never had this before (which is rare for me to say, I am 42!) I ovulated 14 days ago as determined by CM, and OPK, and such. I use FRER. It is always positive by now if pregnant.
It is negative, but AF has not shown. Suggestions?

This is an odd situation.
I miscarried back in June. Then, I had an induced cycle recently...and really odd.....instead of ovulating with the HCG shot, I actually got my period. Then I started progesterone. I did 3+ day cut offs when I conceived all my boys. I finally read Tamara's post above and decided to skip the timing and focus on the diet, use replens, drink tons of crystal light, take the supplements. I finally had a girl. I don't know if that helps at all, but that is my story. We had sex the night before O and at 12 hours after O.

I seem to recall not swimming when TTC a girl...and I got my girl. So, I am TTC a girl and it is 100 degrees out and we are supposed to go swimming on July 3 and I expect to O July 4. I guess I should abstain from swimming that night? Anyone remember references to this?

I am actually late on ovulation, but I have ovulated later than this before and still got pregnant.
So here is what happened. I had a fair amount of CM that led me to believe I would O. I also was "in the mood" so I thought possibly. I took the OPK and the 2nd line was dark, but not dark enough, so I thought O was coming. The next morning, took the OPK again and it was even darker, but not qui...

Check your PH. Drop the Ocean spray and go with real cranberry juice (not just something that contains cranberry) or stick with milk. Add in Crystal Light. Get those PH strips. I don't think the timing of sex matters. Also..try the replens or the rephresh.
I just had a girl after 6 boys.

The CM basically starts to turn hostile toward the sperm. Your PH will naturally start to decrease. I had these questions too.
I did cut off for ...oh...lots of boys. The one baby I did o+12 for is the one I had a girl on.

I want to add..there is nothing in the bible that says "don't drink cranberry while TTC" or "don't time your sex" or otherwise..in hopes of getting one gender over the other. And remember...all the swaying in the world and you could still get the other gender. It is not a guarantee. If you are worried that timing your sex, eating a particular diet, or anything else like that would be unbiblical......

If you are trying to reconcile gender swaying with your religion..try to remember.. "the Lord helps those who help themselves" and...I never have believed that God or Jesus or anyone else micromanages us from heaven. I think as long as what you are doing is not an actual sin (I could not do PGD or abortion to have a particular gender) then there is no issue.

I thought naming a girl would be easy too. Instead, it is too much pressure! It is basically the dreams of a girl from many years being placed on one little baby name. It has been awful. Good luck with picking your name.

I never ever hear anti-girl remarks. I am the only person in my family or extended family having boys. I hear tons of anti-boy remarks so I have never had to defend girl things. I grew up hearing anti-boy remarks and anti-men remarks and even my own grandmother, 84 yrs old, looked at my boys recently and commented on "that defective Y chromosome." Needless to say, I am not looking forward to seein...

If I ever finally have another girl, she is getting a whole new wardrobe.

I figured it would be too early. I go to the perinatal doctor for the NT scan next week and will be 12 weeks by then. I had kind of hoped since the baby measured 11w5d (but I was 11w1d from last period) that maybe you all could tell something. Thank you so much for looking!
