Congratulations Nini! I thought I would pipe in with a different perspective, for what it's worth. I have DS + DS + DD and am thrilled with the mix and so so happy to have just one DD. I feel like I will be able to lavish all my *girly* attention on just her (spreading the mummy love to all, of course). Mum & DD trips & excursions - just us. I love it. Special jewelry - all for her when I am...

This may be difficult for you, but I say don't think about your next cycle not working. Believe in the power of positive thought. Don't worry about what you'll do after, convince yourself this IS going to work. Put all of your energies into NOW (i.e. when you're doing your cycle) and not the future. Don't cross that bridge until you have to. Pick a positive mantra and repeat it, visualize it ...

Armywifey - what a pose your little guy has in utero! So cute! Watch out - looks like this one has a sense of humour/ is a little ham right from the start! All the best to you!

I am so sorry that Baby Amelia did not have the chance to live. What an incredible Mom she has! You sound so kind and caring, and I know she is very much with you, in your heart. You sound like you are acutely grieving her and carrying a lot of guilt for something you had no control over. And feeling the burden of guilt from your DH's family too. It sounds like a complicated situation that in...

Congratulations! How wonderful for you and your family. I am sure your boys will dote on their sister! I remember after finding out we were having DD, a few people treated me to stories about people they knew whose ultra sounds were wrong, implying there still could be a chance she was a he. I decided that even if there had been a mistake, the ignorant bliss of the second half of my pregnancy ...

Seems like yesterday your DH was running out to get the best microscope he could find... and now here she is! She is a doll. Glad you stuck with Charlotte - even if you had named her something else, she'd still be Charlotte to me! Well done on the delivery Momma and all the best to you and your family at this happy time!

When I read it, I thought of pronounced 'Ky-ah', not "Kee-ah", if that is any help. The name and meaning are quite pretty. All the best to you in the home stretch of your pregnancy!

I am so sorry for your loss and hope the baby you are carrying is a girl. If it were me, I would go through the bag and pick out one or two special things from the baby's big sister and donate the rest. Start anew and know this is the baby who is meant to be. Best wishes to you.

Sounds like those girls are meant to be. They will never really know what their mom put into having them, but you do. Cherish them & all the best to you.

I picked the last one because the wheels look the heartiest, and because of the removable tray/ cup holder in front - you will appreciate having that for your DS when he is a toddler. Don't go by colour - who really cares if it matches your db?

I voted for Keyanna. Another K-name I have always loved is Kezzia. The first time I encountered it was in a short story by Katherine Mansfield. GL!

I voted May... always wanted a May or June baby (great time of year, not too early or late in the year as far as being the eldest or youngest at school, and nice time for outdoor birthday parties!). My babies were born in October, March and December. Although my DS2 is a St. Paddy's baby (was due March 26th) and I love that his birthday is that day. Suits his personality.

That is a really good question. Why can't we do that? Not just related to GD but with any problem people are having in life. I don't think it's just men - I think we all sort of feel a need to fix things, to fill empty silence and find it difficult to just *be* in the moment with someone. It's also hard to know when people need one or the other. People mean well, for the most part. All the ...

I like Tallulah. There was a movie star from the 60s (or maybe a singer??) called Tallulah Bankhead (?). I think she may have been the original Catwoman in the Batman TV series, which I LOVED as a kid. Therefore, I have positive associations.

Our DD is Charlotte, and I thought we might shorted it to Charleigh but so far, when it's shortened, it's Lottie. I think it's cute and I like it but I doubt I would want Lottie to be her primary name. LOL about cleaning the houses!

I have to say that all of these items sort of rotate for me. For example, I leave the house with my kids around 9 am and we have all of our stuff and look presentable, but the breakfast dishes are on the table until 1 or 2 pm, when I get around to cleaning them up. I voted for the yard though because I rarely work on it (although my DH does).
