It's all about levels of gd, I too have 3 sons 1 daughter, I'm not having anymore, but if I did I would definitely want another daughter.I had mild gd with my last baby, but got me it was all about not knowing what I was missing , that's why i wanted a second dayghter.I agree that having one dg had to be easier than not at all,although like many Others, if I can offer some comfort or just another ...

Oh anjali you sound just like me! I completely empathise with your fears.With all my pregnancies I seem to have huge fear that something will go wrong, my daughter was my rainbow baby (m/c@16wks:( and so my pregnancy with her was anxiety on stilts!! It carried on until she was strong and older about 1 yr.I do anxiety perfectly!

Easy done! A friend of mine had her first girl after 3 boys,and during the pregnancy everyone was intrigued as to the gender! It was fun to guess and she loved it! It's all so subjective,I never ever minded gender guesses,it wa all part of the fun.However,as with everything in life,everybody has their own opinions,hurts,sensitivities etc.This lady knows you so well,I'm sure she never felt insulted...

Again,I agree with the pp's,good luck to you in having a girl,but it doesn't have to be right now maybe? Do some research,consider ht ( I do not know much about this!) but crucially,you seem totally devastated at the thought of another boy,and that is quite a precarious start to conceiving.Of course you will love that baby like mad, you know that,but considering all the options is no bad thing,,,,...

Good question! I've had 4 csect,Last one just year an half after the last,it was ok.I'm forty and have 4, and for me it's enough! Two bigger boys,pp toddlers= literally no rest for me! (well not if I want functioning household)! I think age gaps between kids is more a considertion for me maybe ? IMO this is the correct way to deal with things,it's all personal pain anyway isn't it? What is concerning is when one party feels persecuted and bitter and resentful of other happiness,because if they got what they wanted,of course they would let people know and share their joy.Pride in ones kiddies can never be underestimated! X

I agree with a lot of what you said,and that pma is how many people get through life.I have had only mild gd ,and only with youngest ,because I wished my daughter to have a sister,,,but it's not that important to me.However to s ome people it is an unyielding obsession,in which case only counselling will do? My one and only gripe about this site is the groups,sub groups? If you speak for the masse...

Hi really wanted to offer an opinion! I think all the above advice is true,relevant and written with good intent .As you already said,only you know if another is feasible,however,I had my last baby(an oops)!! at 38,my daughter was 10 months old!! I have had 4 csect,and although it is crazy hard work,youngest 2 are only 19 months apart ( this is the hardest bit ),it is ,and will be forever worth it...
