Our Baby is in the hospital with RSV

Title says it all ladies. She caught a cold/cough from the boys and it worsened until we ended up in the hospital. She began to go downhill quickly so we were rushed by ambulance from our local hospital to the big one in the city. She is on oxygen and still is having trouble breating on her own but it looks like she is on the upswing of this illness. We will be here at the hospital until she can...

Re: daily updates!

I'm so excited for one of you to go into labor. [:D]

we had our baby girl!

Wow! That was amazing! We went in for an induction Tuesday. I was still 1cm and 50% effaced. Three doses of cervical softener later, no baby. We went to sleep and I started having contractions at 1am Wed. Around 4 I could no longer sleep. We walked the hospital hoping to speed things up. The contractions slowed and at 12PM they decided to start pitocin. Around 3Pm they stopped the pitocin after ...

Re: daily updates!
Lost loads more of my mucous plug last night, and had hours of really strong BH's.  Was really miffed that everything stopped!
Sounds like it may be soon though! Maybe a January baby after all?

Re: daily updates!

I quit. [:'(] All the castor oil did, aside from making me vomit a lot,  was make me contract for a few hours and then it stopped. I just can't keep the contractions going. Oh well. Induction is scheduled for Tuesday Feb 1. I'm glad they gave me the extra time but I have basically given up hope of ever having this baby.

Re: daily updates!
Good luck, hopefully you won't have to be induced. They are able to induce you b4 your due date, are you with an obgyn? Shouldn't they let you go at least a week after your due date before induction?
I am high risk because of a variety of factors so I am lucky they have let me go this far. I keep fighting it because I HATE induction! I have been ...

Re: daily updates!

I love the taste of RRL too!  Okay, so here is the plan. Walking tonight with DH. Home and using the breast pump for nipple stimulation. Bed. Get up at 2 and take castor oil. Sleep unitl castor oil won't let me sleep anymore. Take the kids to school, go to my 9am dr apt. Hopefully sometime in this area I will be in labor. If not, they are inducing me probably tomorrow. UGH! So, wish me ...

Re: daily updates!
What does EPO do?  I always start drinking RLT from 34 weeks (and I absolutely swear by it - I've never pushed for more than 5 mins), but haven't heard what EPO is supposed to help with.
softens your cervix, like semen.

Re: daily updates!

I've been taking EPO vaginally since 37 weeks. The first morning I got up I thought my water had broken there was so much that ran out of me. LOL I hope it is working.

Re: Warning!!!! - Do not read if you are squeamish, horrible pic inc in post.

It is unreal that you had to post after pics to prove yourself. I'm so sorry. However, I am glad she is doing better. You are one tough lady and she must have gotten that from you!

Re: Castor Oil, the inside scoop.
I am not due for a while, how ever i would like this baby to come out sooner than later. My DS was 11 days late and he was 10 Ib at birth, I bled so much and had gozillion stiches down south...so this time i would like to get a head start....I am not planning on taking CO today or tomorrow, however after 38 + 4 I would like to get things rolling. Is it pretty safe?...

Re: Castor Oil, the inside scoop.
I've had great success with CO, it induced me twice. My advice, take it as early as possible in the day. Both times, I had baby 12 hours later, so if you like your kids born in the day or evening, start early! I took 3oz with 3oz juice, and 1tsp baking soda both times. Biggest advice----you MUST drink at least one large glass of water or juice EVERY hour after you...

Castor Oil, the inside scoop.

So, I'm sure that some of you are as desperate as me to get your baby out and if that is the case then you have thought about trying castor oil. I only have 1 week left before induction so I was trying to get the ball rollling without a medical induction. Clearly I am still pregnant. I took it at 3. By 6 I was contracting. I went walking to speed things up. By 7 they were more intense. By 9 ...

Re: daily updates!

Oh, won't someone go into labor already! If it can't be me, one of you needs to go into labor soon. The suspense is killing me. I've tried walking, sex, bouncing on a ball, taking rrl and epo, and nothing NOTHING! I'm considering castor oil, it just sounds awful!
