Just wanted to come back and say it's predicting a girl for this pregnancy. I am leaning more girl from what i saw at my last growth scan, although sonographer wouldn't confirm. I really hope it's right seeing as it works for my other 4 kids. :)

Thank you both! It's our desired gender so it's a bit hard to believe! I had a private scan with my last baby and we were told girl for sure and i still couldn't believe it until she was born!

Thank you. I would be surprised if it turns out to be a boy. You could see both thighs and the lines between, nothing sticking out where you'd expect a scrotum/penis to be!

Would that definitely be a girl or can you sometimes see lines on a boy at that gestation?Sorry i don't have a photo as it's policy here not to tell the sex. I had a growth scan today and i asked the sonographer for a hint. She said they don't like to tell people but she would certainly show me between the legs and i could see for myself. Well she looked and the only comment she made was 'i can't ...

Yes i had my 20 week scan last month and didn't find out but i had another scan today (i'm getting them every 4 weeks) and i did ask for a hint of what baby was. They don't tell the sex here but she did show me between baby's legs and said she couldn't see anything obvious anyway but i am sure i saw 3 white lines so really hoping it's a girl :D My OH doesn't know, he wants it to be a surprise alth...

Hi, i've not had time to read all the replies because i'm just about to go out to drop DD off at pre school. I am expecting my 5th baby on the 3rd august. I have 3 boys age 12, almost 10 and 7 and a girl aged 4. We didn't sway this time although a girl would be ideal i am mainly hoping for a healthy pregnancy after problems last time.

I really wanted to find out this time but my OH wants a surprise. It's definitely our last baby so i feel i have to respect his wishes on that. I originally planned to have a private ultrasound at 18+3 and as that date approaches i am kicking myself for not going ahead with it [:P] I can't just re book as it means travelling away from where we live and spending a weekend away, it's quite cost...

I would have been finding out next week at 18+3 but my OH has decided he really wants a surprise!! [:S] I am really hoping that the sonographer will let slip at one of my scans [pray] (i have to have one every 4 weeks from 20 weeks onwards) but it's policy not to tell here. [*-)]

I was thinking about this and seeing as it was right for me i am a bit hmmmm about it.If it's right because my birtday in October that means that i could only conceive a girl in Oct, Nov and Dec then it's back to a boy.
