Well looks like I am no closer to meeting my baby. 40 weeks 4 days today and am feelign pretty low. Saw midwife yesterday to find that baby is not engaged and she thinks that is why I hav not gone into labour (and she doesnt think I will). I tried to plead my case for induction but they are refusing before 42 weeks so I will not be induced before 31st may at this rate. I cant stand the thought of ...

How exciting, As this is my first I have no idea how close I am- not sure if head has decended at all or not. Either was the countdown has well and truly began. Good luck to everyone and I cant wait to see all the may babies!!!! x

Thanks to everyone for their replies- I think I am going to remain with an open mind (it is hard to say how I will feel as this is my first baby so I dont know what to expect). I will deffo start with gas and air and from there see how I go. I am hoping to try a water birth although I can only achieve this is my pregnancy remains low risk and at the moment there are concerns over my fluid levels (...

Not posted in a while as have just moved house and been without the internet! Hope you are all well and getting excited about our new arrivals!Just wondering what everyone is planning for pain relief during labour?! After our 21 week scan yesterday I went shopping and finally got started. We were only going to look but ended up buying the pram becasue the store had raised their prices to new 2011 prices and said if we purchased any of the items they already had in stock they could honour the 2010 price. I am LOVING being pregnant. In particular I love feeling this LO move. Have been feeling proper kicks for a couple of weeks now and it is even better now that my friends and family can feel it to. DH is able to feel kicks every evening when we go to bed and this evening my mum felt a big ass kick for the first time- it was such a bit one it made her scream which was hilarious....

The set you have picked out is adorable azalia! I havent picked anything yet as we still dont know the gender of this LO but as soon as we do I will start shopping! I will probably go with a gender neutral pram as it is very likely we will have more children in the future but will deffo be going for gendered accessories and CANT WAIT to pick them out!

I wonder if I could pick everyone's brains and compare experiences of fetal movements.
Since I got my BFP I have ben reading weekly updates on what to expect.
