Frozen embie, thaw and PGD...success rate?

Hi Dr Potter,I have an embryo that went to the freezer (Grade 2, frozen on day 5) as PGD results were inconclusive (due to something on the slide 'a film or schrapnel', I didn't quite understand but was assured it wasn't anything to do with the embryo more the instruments?) anyway I'm wondering what the likelyhood of success would be if we thawed it and then did PGD, has this been done befor...

Re: Will my OHSS get worse if I transfer???

I'm so sad you didn't have your transfer, I understand how frustrating it would be to have to wait but at the same time I'm so glad you are sitting out until the OHSS settles right down, very smart decision!Wishing you a quick recovery and back on the wagon to get those pink frosty(s) snuggled in where they belong!Flip[GLC]

Re: SPD

Yes I had this with both of my 2 previous pregnancies (boys) from around 15 weeks, I am now 17 weeks with our little girl and getting the early signs so I know it's looming and I'm just waiting for it to rear it's ugly head.  I have to wear a brace pretty much from now just to try and keep everything aligned.Good Luck, I hope it stays away for you!Flip

Re: Considerations over my failed cycle (might help me decide what to do next)

Hi Elene, I know where you are at, I have been there too. My first cycle was a no transfer (due to no normals), my second cycle we had 1 normal (happened to be female) to transfer and ended in m/c at 6 weeks, my 3rd cycle was successful we transferred 1 normal female and she is snuggled safely in my belly. The anguish of my first 2 cycles is almost indescribable and I questioned EVERYTHING. ...

Re: Belly Questions...

It's fluid, you retain more as the day goes on due to activity etc, it tends to pool in the abdomen around where all the 'action' is.Flip[;)]

Re: I hired a doppler....am I crazy?????

Hi Girls,I hired my doppler from www.firstbeats.com.auI have had a little trouble with static etc and they have just received a whole batch of new ones in so they are sending me a new one.I have finally mastered how to find the hb, it's a bit tricky at first because the baby is so small so you have to find the exact position of the Bubs.  And then it might be faint if she's turned away ...

I hired a doppler....am I crazy?????

Hi Girls,I hired a doppler to try and keep me at ease with this pregnancy (have had a lot of bleeding up until a few weeks ago, baby is fine but I am still nervous), everyone is telling me I'm crazy as baby can turn and hb can be hard to find.Have any of you every used one yourselves or what do you think?  I only plan on keeping it until I can feel her move myself.Flip[:P]

Nub?

Hi Everybody, when this ultrasound was taken I was 10.5weeks by dates but Baby is measuring 11.5 weeks, I'm just wondering if that is the nub we can see sticking out.....if so what is your opinion? We did IVF/PGD so we know what the gender is but it would be fun to see if it matches the nub theory? Flip[:-)]
