My DD is absolutely perfect and nothing in my pregnancy (post 12 weeks), birth or development has been any different to my boys. As hoping said above, at that stage every cell in an embryo has the ability to go on and become a baby. You are not removing part of the baby as it will be one of the cells that remains that becomes the baby. At this stage and later an embryo can split creating indentica...

Great to read an update on the twins! I must have read your blog back to front 20 times over when I started out and here I am now with a nearly 1 year old!

First cycle was in another country, second and successful cycle was in the US. I went to private clinics for all my pretending and scans and never told my GP. Once pregnant I also never mentioned to any doctors or midwife that I'd done IVF. It is very doable from the UK and totally worth it.

I loved watching this! It took me right back to my time at HRC and Dr Potter was just how he is in person. I had my transfer just 2 days after Cloverbear and we both had May baby girls. Well done Cloverbear!!

All follicles have an egg in them, however it may not be possible to retrieve the egg if it is too immature or bad quality. The trigger shot starts the maturity process and you would expect to get an egg from all good size follicles but not always from the smaller ones.

This is why HT can become so addictive. To stop after you have spent so much and failed would be gutting but once you have been successful and have a baby in your arms you can justify every single penny spent, they are so totally worth it. I think what you are prepared to spend is different for each person and I wouldn't have spent money I needed for my boys, but my boys would be just as happy wit...

I used Crinone suppositories vaginally for 12 weeks. No PIO. Dr Potter has only used Crinone for well over a year (on fresh cycles) and many girls on this forum have been successful only using Crinone.

Yes. BCP inflates your day 3 numbers so would not be accurate pre-testing. Also good to have a break from BCP before IVF as it can over supress you.

Take a look at the below link for more info:

Also, another girl, winogirl, had similar issues with her first cycle with Dr Lin. She did go on to become pregnant on her 3rd cycle however. You could read her posts on here or contact her via the other forum. So sorry this has happened to you.

I used the birth company on Harley Street for the monitoring for all of my cycles. They were very good and didn't ask any questions. Their prices are on their website. I think it's easier not to say you are doing GS in the UK. Better to say you are cycling at xxx country as the doctor is your friend if asked.

Oh and I spent approx £350 on pre-testing. This included blood tests, sperm analysis and an ultrasound.

My European cycle cost me £4,400 and the clinic only charged €100 for my FET so you can get a 'cheapish' cycle in Europe but for a baby I paid £8,000 + plus a holiday to the US. I would recommend girls go to a clinic that has regular good success at producing babies from IVF/PGD.

No, your chance is no higher, if you went to the bookies you would be given odds of 1/2 (or less) that you would have a girl. You would only be given the 1/20 odds before you started having kids when it's much less likely you will have 4 of one gender. Go HT if you want to change that 50% chance.

Totally agree with you on this one!! The 1 in 20 I quoted was not nonsense or some old wives tale but actually based on statistics x[/quote] But you can only compare yourself to those statistics before you start having children. At that point in your life yes, you chance of having 4 boys/girls was 1/20. After already having 3 of one gender you are way closer to getting 4 of one gender than ...

After a failed European cycle (plus an FET) I decided to go to Dr Potter as there were so many success stories here on IG. I went last summer and was one of about 10 girls in a row to get a BFP with Dr Potter. He has regular good success with international girls traveling for PGD (2 in the last month) and I think you give yourself the very best chance going there (although unfortunately no guarant...

I have read a few negative reports of fertility institutes, so personally I would scrap that one. Also a large number of girls cycled at dogus last year (off the top of my head maybe 10 and only 1 became pregnant), lots of BFNs - so another one I would scrap off the list. IMO UKCFA is the best clinic in Cyprus - but it's also by far the most expensive (more than the US) and unless you cannot go to...

If you use the pill to schedule your cycle and you are prepared to spend 10-11 nights at your destination you should be absolutely fine with completing your cycle on schedule. The only issue here would be if you can to cancel your cycle due to a poor response, dominant follicle or an over response to the meds - and then you may have to pay the change fee or take your holiday anyway. Booking flight...

I don't think fertile gender selection patients have much of an advantage on infertile patients to be honest, we may even be at a disadvantage. Many causes of infertility such as having blocked tubes are easily overcome by using IVF or poor semen quality overcome by using ICSI. One of the biggest factors when it comes to IVF success is your response to IVF medication - and a fertile girl can respo...
