Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately our peadiatrician is not very helpful - he is a bit of a grumpy old man and hates questions! We only get to see him once every 2 months at the moment so I figure if I can do my internet research and go to our next apt fully armed with info and questions he will have no choice but to answer them!As for finding a link between the two things - I cant find an...

Hi girls,I dont post very often these days but I still lurk around from time to time! I posted a while ago about my son who had been diagnosed with Duane's syndrome - it is a rare, congenital eye movement disorder most commonly characterized by the inability of the eye to turn out.Just recently he had been diagnosed with epilepsy. It is quite worrying for us now that he had the 2 conditions ...

I also work part time and my DH is out 3-4 evenings a week with his band and gets home around 3am so he is dealing with his own tiredness issues,&nb...

Yep we used to have georgie pie here in NZ but not for about 10 years.
Fivecrazymonkeys - sounds like NZ and Australia are pretty similar food wise which is not surprising I guess [;)] Our version of Bolonga is called "luncheon meat" do aussies call it that?

Thank you both for your replys, they were both helpful. I googled Sensory processing and I dont think that is what he has, most of the symptoms didnt fit but suprisingly a few of the Tourettes symptoms did. Im not sure why I didnt think of it before, especially since he has recently started to stutter on simple words he has alway had no problems saying and he kinda shouts the end of the word like ...

My DS2 was diagnosed with Duane's syndrome ( a paralysis of the optic muscles) at about 16 months of age. Since then we have had series of appointments with the same specialist to monitor his progress.
Today we had another apt, they have basically told us that there is nothing they can do for him except continue to monitor his over the next couple of years and seemed to be very blaze' about...

DD is waking 3-4 times a night and I am exhausted! As a newborn up until she was about 3months she would only wake 1-2 times a night which was manageable then she started waking 3-4 times for no apparent reason. I have tried giving her a dream feed before I go to bed, formula for her last feed in the evening to fill her up before bed time and I have even tried leaving her to cry when she wakes but...

Glad to hear she is making progress, I was NICU mum for only a week but it was the most exhausting week of my life so I can sympathise with you - it is hard work! It does take a while to get to grip with the cares etc and you feel like a bit of a spare wheel at first.
Prayers foryou we girls surgery - im sure she will come through with flying colours!

Thanks all, you pretty much confirmed what I was thinking. I think I will look into a slightly older dog, maybe over a year old so they are somewhat trained. Do you think an older dog would adapt easily to a new family though? We are in no rush and it is important to make the right decision. I think I would prefer the baby to be walking before we get one as i dont want to run the risk of...
