Well what an experience and I am happy to say that I am soo done. Well I was induced with a pessary on the Thursday at 3pm it was inserted and had to stay in 24 hours. It didn't do much apart from give me braxton hicks but I had to be monitored every 4 hours so had to stay in hospital overnight. Then it was taken out at 3pm on the Friday and it was such a relief, it felt so uncomfortable at the en...

I am having something called a pessarie(sp?) inserted into my cervix which should dialate my cervix and cause me to have contractions once my body is showing progress they are goin to remove it and let my body carry on on it's own, they think my body just needs a little reminder of what's got to happen. I am not sure if they are even using anything else. Ugh I am so uneducated on this which nerves...

Tomorrow is my last full day at home before I go into meet my daughter. I have suddenly become really scared about the induction process and what is going to happen, I am also scared about being a mum of 2... I hope I can calm down and enjoy tomorrow with DS and I don't want him feeling my anxiety. Ugh why can't I just go into natural labour already?!

I could have written that exact post TTC#3! I had v.v. Weak contractions starting at 8.30pm last night and they carried on all night at 2 mins apart lasting 1 minute. I finally went to sleep at 12 midnight and got woken up at 4am with the contractions getting stronger, not alot strong but they did increase in pressure. I got up and went to the toilet when I had a loose bowel movement an felt reall...

I am still here, 4 days over from scan EDD and my due date going from ovulation. Only got to wait until Thursday at the most so not too disheartened, I feel like my life is on hold until I go into labour.

I am exactly the same as TTC#3 as my son was 9lb5.5oz at birth (40+5) and I had a lot of complications with him at birth. I am under consultant care so that's why they don't want to have the same risk. I don't have GD or anything either it's just my body likes to grow big babies and then has trouble trying to get them out.

If Lily decides I am too comfortable and does not come on her own before the 20th then I am being induced that day at 1pm (GMT). I went into natural labour with my DS so why now this time is it not happening? Thought I'd let you girls know anyway.

Omg me too! It's a nightmare as I have three separate plans of care for my son Incase one person isn't available. I don't want it to be a big rush as I want to have enough time to check my labour bag etc.. So I am having a sweep done this morning, am nervous. Aswell as a normal check up and hopefully an induction will be scheuled too! DP actually came near me last night after an evening of bac...

Sweep is the sweeping of the fingers around the cervix and membranes to release a certain hormone to induce labour, it only works with 1 in 7 women according to my consultant. I am in the UK and the only reason they have done it for me is because of the concern of the size of my baby. DS was 9lb 5.5oz when he was delivered at 40+5 so this time baby is estimated to be the same/similar sized.

I'm still here, booked for another sweep tomorrow morning at 9.30am GMT. My cervix is still prosteiror but has effaced over the past few days as well as Lily's head dropping a bit more, not sure how much though? I have a carton of pineapple juice I will gulp down tonight and hopefully tomorrow's sweep will start things off. My baby birthday app says I'll have her tomorrow [;)]

Thanks J! I am still pregnant.. Just got to the point of 'I'm not going into labour any time soon' stage. I'd be nice if I got taken by surprise though [;)] I will update as soon as anything starts or progresses. Cervix has changed position slightly and effaced more but nothing that has me thinking I will go into labour. Tick tock tick tock.. Lol!
