Re: Thumb sucker (POLL)
Nope.  He's gone for it a few times, but I've distracted him.  It's cute and all, but you can't take away a thumb like you can a paci.
I agree. Used distraction and dummies (pacifiers) on all my 3 bubs. Took dummies off ds1 back when he was 2 1/2, and the 'dummy fairy' recently visited ds2 and took his dummies aw...

Re: Dr. Shettles died in 2003, and x and y sperm swim the same speed and live the same amount of time

You do mean 'O' around midnight, not "af" (period), right?? Both my both boys were conceived around O and my girl conceived with a 4-5 day cut-off. 'O+' theory too risky IMO, unless you can PINPOINT time of O. Good luck[GLC]

How to delete one of my threads?

Just wondering if there is a way to delete certain threads that I began/created (ie. where I was the OP). For example, deleting gender-guessing threads now that my baby has been born. I could go into particular threads and delete my posts one by one, but it would just be quicker and easier for me to delete whole threads that I no longer want online. Any help would be appre...

Re: Do you think siblings have a closer bond the closer in age they are? POLL
Not really unless you are talking about a large age gap. I think often it depends on relationships and personality between siblings.
[Y]I agree. Also, sometimes kids close in age can become more competitive and/or compare themselves.

Hi everyone!

Although I haven't been on in SUCH a long time (several weeks!) I've thought of you all often, and hope that you're all well!! Just don't get much 'down time' to myself these days but wanted to get on and read up on what you've all been up to[:-)]. My baby girl Kennedy is getting more beautiful every day (of course[HL]) and seems to be an easy baby too (so far). Life with two ...

Thanks for some great ideas ladies[:)] Anymore?

Boys' names pleeeease??!

My sister is due in Feb and has found it easier to come with girls' names that she likes. As for boys' names they're still stuck! Her dd is named Freedom so as you can see she likes names that are interesting and not too popular. I know you ladies have some great ideas so we'd love any suggestions[kiss]

Re: is there a way to post more than one picture at a time

The way I do it is: attach one pic to an original post, then reply to original post and add/attach the next pic to the reply. Does that make sense? The pics wont appear in the same 'post' but they will appear in the same 'thread' and if you do it quickly enough they will follow one after the other.

Re: Anyone do cut off and got a GIRL? without using o+12 Or are you planning to?
Actually, cervical mucus plays just as large a part when the sperms make it inside the cervix.  Think of your cervical mucus as a highway by which all sperm travel.  No cervical mucus = no swimming. But, X sperm do ok swimming in less than perfectly fertile cervical mucus.  Y sperm don't.   Even at your least fertile, you have some cervical mucus - i...

Re: Anyone do cut off and got a GIRL? without using o+12 Or are you planning to?

Yes I did cut-off and got a girl[:)] Have 2 kids already and a dh with shift work so no way was I going to have the time/energy to organise myself to try O+12!!!  Bd'd on day 13 and got positive OPK on days 16 and 17, so likely O'd on day 17 or day 18, which made a 4-5 day cut-off. As far as EWCM goes, I had none that far from O (and without ewcm the Xs get an edge over the Ys...

Re: confused about OPK results, please help

The info/instruction pages in the OPK pack that I used said that when you don't get a clear 'positive', you should consider the test with the darkest test line as the positive result, so I would say that your 11am test was your 'positive' (because the results before and after that one were lighter). I'd test over a couple more cycles and check for a pattern, then you could be more certain. GL...

Re: HI

[C]Welcome to IG. I haven't tried the swaying techniques you mention but many have, so you'll get lots of info and advice off this site! Try posting in the 'swaying' forum too, you'll probably get more views there[:)]

Re: Symptoms! This has been done to DEATH...so please humour me!

1. My girl measured as big as my boys during all ultrasounds - (born a bit smaller though) 2. I was fairly constipated with the all 3 pgs 3. Didn't puke with any of my pgs 4. Placenta was anterior with my girl 5. I was emotional during all 3 pgs 6. Craved choclate and icecream with my boys, craved salty/savoury with my girl 7. My two boy pgs were quite different to eachother (my we...

Re: If you have three or more kids and your first two were boys.......

Third baby a girl. Didn't know about "swaying" as such, but did a few things differently just for the heck of it. Used OPK to get 4-5 cut-off, didn't eat until lunchtime for about a month before conception, and tried to reduce my usually high salt/sodium intake slightly. Good luck[GLC]

For mums who don't like gun play..

I really don't like guns. And I REALLY don't like gun play. Ok I know we played "cops and robbers" as kids in the 70s/80s and most of us turned out fine, but childhood, and life in general, was more innocent then. 'Cops and Robbers' was more like a game of goodies and baddies playing "chasy". Ds1 is nearly 4yo and I've always made it pretty clear to family and friends that I don't want gun toys g...
