I don't blame you. Make up an excuse and skip it! I've missed girl showers before and never gave it a second thought.

I had a friend of mine pull her daughter out of middle school because she was being bullied horribly. The last straw was when they ripped her backpack to pieces on the bus and threw it out of the window in chunks! The son I pulled out had me worried for a while. I noticed he was eating a lot less and claiming not to be hungry. This is from a boy who could out-eat a grown man! During dinner...

Have you not taken a good look at teenagers/tweens in society today? Do you really believe that girls walk twirling their pigtails until they save themselves for their wedding night nowadays? I recently pulled my son out of public school over Christmas break because of a bullying epidemic (among othr things). A ::gasp:: GIRL got up in his face, called him a little "p*ssy b*tch" a...

Love^^ It makes my head spin trying to comprehend having so much hatred towards a partcular gender. I have had awful experiences with both males and females in my lifetime, but I would *never* project that on my child. My first boyfriend was severely abusive (and is spending the rest of his life in prison), but I have never correlated that with my sons. My grandmother was an abus...

My only reason for wanting a girl was to be able to raise both genders -- nothing more, nothing less.

What a little sweetheart! I love that age so much. [love] Thanks! I just wish I could fast forward to seeing his face already so that some of these feelings could disappear already.

Retail therapy is definitely helping me! I've been checking out diapers.com boy clothes because they have different boy selections. I'm not in the mood to buy a lot of blue right now, but they've got tons of boy clothing with cool patterns and different colors than the same ol' blue, blue, blue. [:P]

I named my DD a masculine type name, and I LOVE it. I like "boyish" names for girls, and it doesn't mean I didn't want my DD or turn her into a boy. I love the name you picked out too.

I cant believe anyone would think that? I dont think Jessica Simpson hoped for a boy, but I do think the child's name (Maxwell) is wrong for ...

I, too found out yesterday that I'm carrying boy #4 and can relate to how you're feeling. I did cry yesterday, but not necessarily because I was disappointed, but because I felt so guilty for these feelings. I'm not sad about having another boy -- I'm sad about not having a daughter. We're here for you and plenty of us are going through the same heartache.

Isn't that the truth! My little one likes to butter me up like no other. He brushes my hair, compliments me more than any man ever has and even tells me, "Moooom, you know I love you WAY more than my brothers do, right"? He's going to be the one who fights to keep me out of the nursing home. [rofl]
