At my 17w ultrasound i was told girl because there was no visible penis... but at 19w i was told boy and penis was visible. I think it depends on the angle and position of the penis to be honest... by boy had his up against his leg so it was hard to sp...

After several back and forths with being told girl then boy, we finally had a growth scan at 34+4.... this is definitely testis isn't it? There is no way this could be swollen labia?
[pray] for our little prince to complete our family....

My boy's nub looked exactly like this at 13wks! There is a good chance! Good luck!

Certainly looks like a [DD]!! Any pink things you buy now can always be returned/exchanged if your 20w scan shows a boy...
My 17+5w scan said girl... then i got told boy at 20w! But your pic is a lot clearer than what mine was.

I actually think it's a [DS], its just that the angle of this pic is more straight up under the bottom rather than a slight angle to the front to show all of the bits in their full size. Girls aren't usually this swollen at 20wks.... having said that, every baby is different so you never know! My little girl at 20wks was not swollen like this.

I would have an elective gender scan done... in fact, i did! I was told at 18w that my baby was a girl because they "couldn't see a penis", they even pointed out what looked like the 3 lines hamburger pic.... but at 20w i was told baby was a boy because they could see scrotum...
They can't assume girl because they can't see a penis... my little guys penis was hiding up against ...

Lol Baby2 - I'm the opposite! After 2 girls we have a confirmed boy... and i'm worried that his willy will fall off! ha ha

The first one looks all boy... my baby boys nub was sticking straight up like that. But all your other pics look very girlie... I just don't know. I really hope you get your little princess though... lots of pink vibes your way!!

Boy based on the nub (looks just like my boy), and the bit between the legs. Could be cord though... you never know.
Are you hoping for a girl or a boy? Is this your first?

Yes, it's a boy!! You can see the scrotum and penis on the side profile and the penis in the potty shot.
Yes, we could tell when watching the ultrasound... but were surprised and asked her to check about 5 times as we had been told girl only 2 weeks prior!!
You usually do get a glimpse at what's between the legs at various points in the ultrasound - usually when taking femur measurements y...

This looks very much like a GIRL nub to me!! My boys nub was sticking straight up at 13+6, no angle at all.
Your scan must be either today or tomorrow..... GOOD LUCK!!!! I hope above hope that you get your little princess, but most of all that your precious baby is perfectly healthy.

19/20 week potty and profile shots look quite different to the 13wk ultrasound. In the 13w all babies have a little nub and you can make an educated guess based on the angle of the nub, but it's not an exact science.
I'll post my 20w pics for you. both potty and side profile.

Luvmy2xy - Thank you for starting this discussion, they are all questions that as a Christian I have also asked myself from time to time and it's interesting reading other people's beliefs.
Firstly, *big hugs*... i'm so sorry you lost your beautiful baby and are going through such pain. I had a miscarriage last year and have been through the full range of emotions and questions as well...
