Oh fantastic! Much as I love red, I just adore towheads, and was totally taken with your DD's hair when I saw it in your signature. My sister was the same colour as her... and I was always jealous (my hair was blonde, but never so pure white).

We know infant's hair changes over time, and Wes' already has (a bit) since birth. So what colour would you guys say his hair is? We were initially gonna go with Adrian Wesley, but figured not too many Germans would pronounce Adrian correctly, so swapped them. As is, he's called Veslee. lol

Yup - breastfeeding a little pig. I think I hit something like a DDD before the initial swelling subsided. Holy shit did that hurt. Thankfully I was still in the birth clinic, so the midwives were all over it - painting my cans with quark... cos... thick yogurt is a known anti-inflammatory... man Germany is weird.

Yeah no kidding. Milk came in with a vengeance. I was joking with the nurses, that I wasn't really thin yet, it was just the illusion of slim created by the contrast of monstrous cans. lol

Julius doesn't seem to care. My pants were interesting to smell for all of 30 seconds, then not a blip of interest since. (Great!)

Yup - 6 grams shy of 7lb even. So I just say 7, cos really, 6g? That's like... the amount of hair gel I use. lol

...after being held hostage at the birth center for a week. Not the worst, but I was pretty homesick. Especially since I totally wasn't expecting to stay that long... two days MAX turned into a week. Bust.As the lovely Lisa posted, our little dude was born on Sunday at stupid early (2:41 CEST) at a miniscule 3170g and 50cm. We're shocked - there has never beena baby so small in my family. But yann...

Many thanks to Lisa for posting the news... I will make a new thread in Aug with some photos. And of course, thanks for the well wishes! BTW, epidurals FTMFW ok. I didn't get my water birth, but yanno, I didn't feel anything either... fair trade. ;)

Last update before Small Chicken Fucker joins us! Took a 3 hour, straight up a frickin mountain hike this morning cos ... why not. Amazingly enough, I didn't die. Heading to the Geburtshaus in 2 hours for the induction.

Well from measurements, he's around 8#... but we'll see when he's out.We're inducing cos my uterus is pressing on my ureters, causing a fluid backup in my kidneys. I dealt with it as long as I could, but it's really painful and not getting any better, so we were given the option to induce or wait. I chose induce, cos I'm quite sick of not being able to put my own shoes on, and at 39 weeks... why n...
