Emma I'd definitely be keen to hear which clinic you've found.

DH has TOTALLY changed gears and thinks we should go somewhere closer to the UK than LA...and do our best to work it out so I am only away 7 to 10 days max...

I just phoned around, most of fertility clinics are happy to do it, (huiffield clinic in my area), although I had to explain in details...and it seems that if I go a head with this I do need to do all the arrangments and contacts with the clinic outside the UK..No one really asked why you want to do it abroad, i think they do understand..

Can any one help? I have a coil inserted few months ago, Iam not sure how soon do i need to remove it before I start IVF?  

So Emma, what did you actually say to the Clinics? I've read from some threads that people are finding this next to impossible in London so I would love to hear exactly how to approach it.

we haven`t had a formal appointment as yet, all was on the phone, no questions been asked so far...may be when they meet us, I would just say that it is cheaper overseas...

Girls, an advice for you, at no point mention PGD also they might want a note from your own doctor. Emma, how long have you had your coil in and when are you planning to cycle? I have a mirena coil and Farah will remove it on day 1 of the start of the treatment but I have already decided to do the entire process there.

Luci, why do you say that?  Sorry to be nosy, but have clinics been funny with you about PGD?  I prob  wouldn't mention it anyway & go for the "cost" reason like Emma (if we ever decide to go for it)... Do clinics insist on corresponding with your GP - I'd rather as few people as possible know about this.

I did ask farah clinic about the coil and there answer was the same, they would remove it when they start the treatment, the reason Iam asking is that one of the fertility doctor that i have been speaking to, said that it shoud be removed at least 1-2 months before IVF started..as the womb need some time to build up its lining!!....Although I have cooper coil, he did mention marena coil as this type of coil contains hormones and this may interfer with other treatment if left too late!!!....

Has anyone had recent contact with Farah? I've tried contacting them a few times in the last 3 weeks and I've had no reply at all. I'm on the verge of giving up with them as I want to cycle next month and I get the impression they don't want the business. I haven't mentioned sex selection, just that I want PGS and that I'm ready to start asap.

We are planning to cycle at the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011.

I am currently PG with DS2, due in a couple of weeks.  

I wont have too far to travel to Jordan as I live in Dubai at the moment.  They offer PGD here at the moment, but it is a lot more expensive and I also here that they are planning on banning it for "family balancing".  Anyway, the more I read about Farah, the better I feel about the whole thing.

One thing worries me though.  I would be travelling with my husband and two sons.  My little boys will be 2.5 and 1 at the time.  I am concerned about what they will do all of the time.  Are there parks around the city centre? if so, are they safe? Ideally, I would like a nice hotel with a well equipped kiddies club to keep them entertained as much as possible, and I kiddies pool too.

I have tried searching all of the hotels in jabal amman, but none of them seem to be decked out with facilities for child entertainment.  If anyone knows anything, I would love to hear it.......

Oh, I had another question.  Does anyone know if Farah recommend any testing prior to going there in terms of how you will react to the meds? such as the CCT (clomid challenge test)?
