kristindoggirl:There are enough people in the world already who are eager to criticize and judge us for feelings that we never asked for. If you feel that you cannot be supportive of someone, if it goes against your morals to do so, no one is asking that you be. Simply say nothing and move on, there are plenty of people in need of support.
Well said!
I've had negative comments for being honest, it bothered me at first but not now. I realise it's because those posters havn't felt like that so they panic, freak out. I can relate to all extreme GD posts so they don't frighten/offend me but it is really helpful to have those posts so that people who do feel the same know they arn't the only ones [despite what their 'healthcare professionals' may have told them
] and that there is help/hope.
I'm always surprised when posters get attacked for being honest as I thought that was the point; this is a GD forum not a Everything's Peachy forum? There are plenty of 'normal' forums for parents but this is the only 1 for people who don't feel anything like 'normal', the only 1 I can relate to. I would've been lost/still suicidal without this site to vent on, learn & get hope from.
