Help with Jonas conception method

Feb 7-8 the moon was coming up on Cancer. That's the strongest girl moon. Do you have any charting records that could help you pinpoint your attempt versus your Ov for Feb? 

So you ovulated around the 13th or 14th, when did you DTD?

The Jonas method and Lunar Gender theory are seperate methods and depend on very differnt calculations. In this case we're trying to pinpoint conception, of which ovulation and intercourse are factors. Once we estimate conception to the best of our abilities, we then look at the moon's transit.

You were born 2 days & 53 minutes after the New Moon. Just subtract that from each New Moon and you'll have your approx. Jonas date.

Hey ScootieLou. I understand that you are heaps busy and doing this over and over again probably does your head in but i tried to do my own chart but im as thick at two posts and couldnt do it so if its possible when you get some free time would you be able to help me find the best time to try and concieve a girl.

My Bday is 7th-May-1984 born at 7:52pm and was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia and will concieve here too. I am looking at TTCing in 2010, 2011. As you can see i have heaps of time so you dont have to rush or anything. Thankyou.

Thanks for your response ScottieLou, I was definetly charting my cycles back then as I was just trying to catch the egg.......and wasn't concerned about trying for gender. I had around 30-31 day cycles which put the 7th of feb on day 17 and the 8th on day 18, these are ovulation days for me as I get the strong ovarian pain in the late arvo which means an impending egg drop the following morning which would of been the 8th (i dtd on both these days). I see that the moon came into cancer on the 9th at around 2pm or so. This is why I'm wondering what had happened as the conception would of happened by then? This time I got a positive opk on the night of the 12th of may which I then feel ovulation took place on the 13th/14th. I also think that this time my body was pretty much in sink with the jonas date for me in may short of a day or so.

wow! according to my o date jonas...it;s like 20 day from 1st day of my cyle...I tend to O early 12th day on 28 day cycle...I am curious to see though....last month my cycle was off a bit....I didnt chart but used cm markers....so how do I find out what best times to try for girl or boy now?

ScootieLou, when I calculated it for Sept. 2009. It came back that I ovulate on  Sept. 3, 2009 at 6:47 am. This is two days before AF is due in my cycle. Did I calculate it right?

I know that ALOT of ppl are asking you for this but,  Could you Please calculate mine for me?

To everyone on this thread, especially those I haven't responded to, I need to say a couple of things.

2.  This method I've outlined here will get you close to your Jonas date. It's not exact! AndI will probably restate that a thousand more times. Until I get new software, I won't be doing authentic Jonas charts. (and I'd rather not give out approxamate info... but you know, in a pinch) 

So there you have it. If I didn't answer your post, don't worry, you are very important to me!  Copy & paste it into a PM and we'll go from there.

Hi ScootieLou Jamie, I am new to the site, but it seems to offer answers I’ve been searching for!  I’m familiar with (and believe in) the Jonas method, which lined up perfectly for my biological ovulations resulting in 3 conceptions, one when I conceived my son 4 years ago, another through IVF resulting in miscarriage, and a third, natural conception two months ago, also ending in very early miscarriage (suspected progesterone deficiency, which I’ll be sure to correct!). I would still love to try for a biological little sister for my son (both of whom I’ve felt my whole life would one day be a part of my world) and I’m at an age my fertility clinic keeps reminding me is “highly unlikely” - age 43 (they were shocked that I conceived naturally on my own a few months ago, but I’m convinced that it was the Jonas method that helped line things up for me!).  I’ve calculated my Jonas days through 2010 (I did that before they shut down their online calculator)  but I’ve been frustrated that Jonas only pinpoints ONE day in a cycle (which may not line up with biological ovulation), I’ve been searching for how to determine gender days for conception during the other 27 days. (I’m not a fan of the Shettles or similar methods. I have more faith in moon/lunar/sun modules than in messing with PH levels or fostering “old sperm”). So I was particularly interested in your statement, “All that matters when trying for a girl is that you concieve during a female moon”.  How do I calculate that?? Thank you for the invaluable information on this site!

 

theqster - You've come to the right place..The Moon's Gender by Sign theory is what you're describing. You can use this to determine the gender of the moon at any moment throughout the month, year, etc. 

Here are the two methods I use: 

1: Jonas dates- these predict an ovulation secondary to the ovulation of your normal cycle. (like you mentioned) The Jonas dates may or may not line up with your normal cycle. Their benefit is they are calculated to the minute. And they can be used alongside my next method... 

2: The Moon's Gender by Sign: This method states that babies conceived under female moons will be female, and vice versa. This method is pretty much 100% accurate (imho) when used correctly. The only problem is we can't control the exact moment of conception, we can only control the timing of sex around ovulation, and that's where the margin of error lies. 

The good news is I just ordered new software for running Jonas dates so I will soon be able to do them months in advance.

And I can help you with the moon's gender to sway either gender for both your Jonas Ov dates and your normal Ov dates. 
The good thing about the Moon's Gender by Sign is that it is easy to figure out. I'd be happy to teach you how to do it yourself or I can do it for you.
