Here is my swaying attempt for a girl: a one time O+12 attempt.
* took highly concentrated cranberry supps (8000-12000 mg/day!) for 1.5 months prior to TTC (also Calcium 1200 mg, Magnesium 500 mg, and 1 Baby aspirin daily) DH took cranberry too. (VERY IMPORTANT!!)
* temped every morning, recorded my cycle, normally O day was around CD 14
* Replense every other day from CD 8-14, occasional Sudafed during these days too.
* checked CM and cervical position 20 times a day! ph ranged from 4.5 to 5.5 (DH -- 7)
* DH daily release by self or BD with condom (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
* Decreased caffeine and bananas (nearly killed me!) Ate lots of yogurt and cheese daily.
* +OPK on CD 13 at 11 am. Kept watching CM and cervical position. CM EW/creamy, but cervix high, soft, and open. Cervix very much open all day. No sign of vervical shift. -OPK by 11 pm so I knew I was close to my attempt! DH still released to keep sperm count low. CM is creamy, C is open, soft, and getting lower! Some slight cramping.
* CD14 1st day of new moon phase. 5am CM is very dry, so dry I thought I'd missed my window, but went for it anyway! Cervix is low, getting firmer and more closed. Took Sudafed, Douched with 3 ml of 2:1 lime 30 minutes before attempt. DH HOT shower! and I think I took hot shower too. BD missionary and shallow, No O. Douched again with 3 ml of lime. Layed with hips up for 10 mins, then on stomach (I have a tipped back uterus) for 45 minutes. Got up, showered, did lime tampon for 4 hours. After removing that after 4 hours I waited 4 hours, checked my CM and it was a 7 so I put another lime tampon for 4 more hours just to be sure.
*CD 15 C was low, firm, and closed. Temp went up. I was sure I had ovulated. No more BD until 4 days later after temps clearly up for 3 days.
* got a faint line on HPT on 11DPO, 12DPO, and clear + on 14 DPO.
* U/S at 18w3d clearly showed girl. 3 lines, no boy parts sticking out, saw hamburger shot. Tech said no question, but I still have my doubts after 3 boys! I prayed so hard for this day. Oh and I also had a little tiny pair of girly shoes under my bed for luck!
All I can say is CRANBERRY CRANBERRY CRANBERRY!!!
