Thats what they did with me petal, my Doc sat there and said there is nothing he can do about it, its because i haven't long since had a baby and been breastfeeding and i have three children and if he referred me on any where they would juts laught at me.  So i asked him if there was anything i could take NO, anything natural, no not unless i wanted cancer!!!????  So thats when i googled and started taking vitex. The next cycle my temps were higher generally, and before AF they came down gradually instead of a big drop the day AF started or the day after, O was a definate this cycle instead of a maybe, and O day was at CD 25 rather than some where in the early 30's. 

Have you thought about taking it or are you taking it??

 Gosh both of you are having such a hard time with the long cycles. Definitely do think you should give the dr a try Petal its no harm. Know when I was ttc DS I was very irregular and even had an 80 day cycle. Dr was v nice and sent me for bllod tests, untrasounds etc and had just got me an appointment with a consultant when 5 days before the appointment bfp! Though maybe it would be different if I had children already. But hopefully he'll have some advice for you and not be as unhelpful as TLM's dr was

Yeah thats what im half expecting when i go monday (to be laughed at) but my youngest baby is 5 years old so hopefully they will do something

Hi girls... so i went to the docs (i was soooo nervous) and he was lovely, really nice and understanding, he is sending me for a blood test and a scan at the hospital to check im ovulating, he said i could have cysts on my overies as i havent gotten preg yet but he said because of the long cycles i havent had many chances to get preg (and what with the swaying reducing my chances even more, not that i told him that lol) he doubts its that. So if all the tests come back how they should then he will give me something to regulate my cycles like clomid i guess. So i am very pleased that i went (i almost cancelled) and am off for the blood test thursday. I also think im about to O in the next few days, had cramping and some cm at last on day 69!!!!!!

I think it's great that you are getting some answers!

 Yaay! Thats great news Petal! Delighted you got a good response. And great to have something to do about it straight away. Hopefully the U/S and blood tests won't show up anything, it would be great if you got clomid though as Im fairly sure I've read here it sways a bit for  OOOH maybe twin !!! Sorry losing the run of myself!!! Great news you might ovulate soon too! At last! Maybe this will be your cycle and you wont even need any further help!

Hahah i know how cool would 's be? im dreaming i know lol. Yes ive read clomid sways for girls because it really dries up cm, so thats a bonus lol. The only thing im worried about is the scan, but i just want it OVER and start to get some attempts in!!

Petal I'm having a bit of bother with my cycles again too, i really thought the vitex had worked for me as i was sure i had O'ed on CD25 and now i am according to FF 21dpo with no AF and no BFP just lots of BFN's all the time, i feel so frustrated, i can't believe you are CD70, what is going on with our bodies, i am going back to docs on monday if AF hasn't arrived by then and no BFP. 

When will your scan be??

Oh gosh tlm! what a nightmare, maybe you didnt O then? or did u have a +opk?

I had my blood test today, the nusre was like 'oh...they want ALOT of blood' lol, god knows what they're testing for then? lol

My doc has wrote off for my scan, dreading it agrrr, (its a vaginal scan)

I've actually had a +opk today!!! after all this, but havent been strict on diet or pills so gonna wait until af and do it as well as i can!

Hope things hurry up for us both!!!!!

 Oh TLM you poor thing! What a nightmare! God your body really is giving you a hard time.  Hope you get BFP or AF at least over the wkend if not then definitely go back to Dr's - or maybe another dr?

Petal great to be doing something towards getting your cycle sorted! I had a vaginal scan at 7 weeks and I have to say it was no problem at all. I was sure it would have to go in quite far but not at all, it was a little uncomfortable at one stage the way she moved it but completly bearable and absolutely fine the rest of the time. And congrats on +opk! Lets hope the next one is on time and you're already for it!

Aww thanks for thinking about me, well a few days ago, my temps were coming down and i was having cramps and was really grump so was sure AF was on her way but i just felt prompted to do an OPK and it was very positive the strongest i have had yet so i thought hmm well maybe i should buy the digital ones as the last time i got a +OPK i got negative with the digital and used all 7 cb ones and nothing, so i bought some more and hey presto we got a smiley face so we DTD twice once on fri and once on sat and hopefully caught O+12 but maybe poss actual O but i just felt that i was nearly at CD60 i couldn't afford to miss an opportunity so i am now 3dpo as my temps def have risen since the postive OPK now i dont want to temp as i will be obsessing about implantation dips and temp coming down and everything, i didn't even keep ph down too low only to about 5-5.5 as i really want to be preg, it was a bi of a rubbsih sway anyway as i hadn't been taking the supps for a couple of weeks due to thinking i was actually already in the 2ww and i have def noticed an increase in CM.  ONly time will tell i hate the waiting game!!!!

 Oh TLM delighted to hear you got the smiley face!!! And you were so right to just go for it after all the waiting already. Sounds like you had plenty swaying happening anyway so you never know!! OOHH its exciting! Great to know you're definitely in the 2ww! Good luck! Will be dying to hear an update!
