Send me your dates, going to try to test this theory...

Okay kids...send me your dates of conception for your kids. 

If you don't know the date of conception tell me the estimated due date and the actual birthdate and any factors like induction etc that would have contributed.  If you are SURE of your conception date...it will work even better.

So far, this has worked with a few people...so I want to get some volume going on a spreadsheet and see if there is any credence.  Btw, this is that MOON stuff.  I am an obsessive nut.

ds# 4 edd 12-3-06 induced 11-29-06 conception was I think 3-9-06 or 3-11-06

Caleb - conception = 3/17/03, EDD = 12/22/03, born 12/17/03 (early induction)

Connor - conception = 2/12/06, EDD = 11/8/06, born 11/1/06 (early induction)

Okay so DS3 concieved on 9/22/04 would be the Waxing Gibbous through the FULL MOON on 9/27/04.  So if you concieved on 9/27 you were in the 36 hr of the Full Moon which would be a 95.2% odds (or a little less) to have a boy.  If you concieved earlier...like 9/24-5 the odds would have been skewed 17.5% more in favor of a girl over standard 50/50 odds IF my comprehension is correct.  So, if you concieved later...then this is accurate. Since baby was "due" on 6/22...I would think later than earlier...

DS4 the full moon for March 2006 was on the 15th.  This one confuses me a touch.  If your EDD was 12/3/06 your LMP was probably 2/26/06--putting your conception date at probably 3/12/06.  Are you an early ovulator...or later?  If you ovulating at this time....you have the same situation as above...you are in the range where you would have been more likely for a girl but close to 50/50.

DS 1 is an OPPOSITE I think.--3/17/04 would have put you in the black phase...with the New Moon on the 21st of the month.  So even when I took your EDD and counted back the estimated conception date was 22nd...the day after the new moon.  I am going to email the scientists that did this study and ask him about the New Moon relation to gender.  I will let you know on that.  But for now, I am going to say that I don't know!  I was thinking it would have been a girl.

DS 2 makes perfect sense with the full moon being on the 5th of December 2006.  Odds were that if concieved in that 24 hour period...over 95% chance of being a boy!

Caleb was totally in the 24 hour mark with a 95.2% chance of being a boy!  He was concieved in the exact window the study quotes with 3/18 being a FULL MOON. 

Connor is the exact same.  Totally in the 24 hour mark with 95.2% odds to be a boy.  Concieved on 2/12 with the full moon only hours later on 2/13.

You are a classic case of support for the Moon Theory!!

DD#2, my conception date was Nov 9th, 2004, my due date was Aug 2nd, 2005 but she was born July 16th, 2005 (induced me).

Now I'm in 2WW, we BDed April 8th at 3:30 am, and April 9th at 3:00 am, my OPKs were Negative at 2:pm April 9th so I'm guessing I Oed on the 8th.

sorry now that I read your post I see my mistake DS# 3 I BD everyday 9-22 thru 9-27 and the same for DS#4 I BD on 3-9 and 3-11.  We tried the Shettles method both times so it was like a 2-3 day cut off.  Maybe this helps.

DD1 was concieved either around the 15th or the 25th based on the due date vs. the birth date.  If the birth date is right and you concieved later in the month..that makes sense for a girl.  If it was on a full moon which would mean the theory was not right for her.  Since she was so far overdue I am inclined to think the due date was wrong. However, even when I calculate her for the April 7th due date with a conception around the 15th...she is very close.  If you conceived one day earlier (which is possible) on the 14th you would be in the 67% chance for a girl range.

DD2 Makes sense for a girl but still researching this area.

This baby...could go either way! I will keep learning though.  Some areas are going to be 50/50 I suppose.

 I love you!!! You are about as predictable as me...we could have set the Times Square clock you and I.

So, if you concieved on June 2nd, 2004 it would have been the exact same time that you concieved your other children.  meaning ONE day before the FULL MOON.  So conception on 2nd, 3rd would have been over 95% chance for boy according to this theory.  I don't know about the 4/5th.  Would assume still in favor of a boy since the alkalinity affect is residual I would imagine...
