Where do you get separate MMR vaccines?

I was at the peds office today and asked the NP (who we saw) if they have separate MMR vaccines at their office...she informed me that they DON'T .  Well, I have decided, and dh agrees, that Alyssa will NOT get the MMR combo shot.  I really would LOVE for her to be vaccinated against Measles, mumps and rubella, but if I can't find someone/somewhere who offers them individually, I will refuse it, period.

I plan to talk to HER ped during her 4 month check, and perhaps he'll have some helpful input (and maybe be able/willing to order them for her) but if I have no luck there, do any of you know where I could find those vaccines in individual doses?

i'm pretty sure your local health department would carry it, or can at the very least, order it for you. try phoning them & asking.

 Check with naturopath doctors in your area.  We have a pediatric naturopathic here that seperates them.  They have a weekly shot clinic that is drop in so you can pick and choose when to do which shots.  

I've been following the alternative schedule in The Vaccine Book by Dr. Sears.  Although I have to admit I am bad about going in every month and we're a little behind on some shots.

I'm planning on doing the same with lyssi.  Does your insurance cover the separate vaccines, by chance?

I've also been doing the Dr. Sears alternate vac schedule.  On their website, there is a list of doctors by state who will follow his method. 

My doc is not on the list but has agreed to order the separate shots.  I agree with you.  If it is not separate, I will not do it. 

I really like the Dr. Sears schedule.  I've read his book.  It just makes sense.  The section on Aluminum really sealed the deal for me.

Yes,  but I have to pay co-pays for each visit.  So it ends up costing more money that way.  It adds up with the twins, $40 a visit ouch! But worth it.

My brother is a Phoenix Fire Fighter.  I never even thought about asking him about the separate MMR vaccines until he stopped by today.  He says he'll have to make a call to make sure, but he THINKS they have access to the separate MMR vaccines and give FREE vaccines several times a month....hmmmm, very GOOD!!!
