One thing Twilight did for me was to turn me on to READING and I love it!  I read thru Twilight once (the whole series) then I found her partial draft which I LEGALLY posted in the Entertainment forum.  Well, I was so excited that I read thru the whole series again.  After that, I read Interview with a Vamp then the 4 books that come in that series.  I am stuck on The Vampire Armand.  He is such a pansy, it is making it hard for me to get thru it.  I am thinking about ditching it and moving on to Nora Robert's Vampire series.  I heard it gets a little steamy.

I have five kids, work out 5 days a week, have a very clean house, have dinner on the table every night and still get time into read....amazing isn't it.

I never read the book series, but my neighbor is obessed with it and we are making it a girl night when the movie comes out.  The only thing is that I always think of Cedric from Harry Potter when I see the previews.

If you could only take the time to read it before you see it.

I know I am old enough to be his young mama, but he is super babe-a-licious.

I know my friend keeps telling me to read it, but I am in my first trimester and have such bad headaches reading is the last thing I want to do.  She is sooo obessed with him, researching him online.  My sisterinlaw is obessed with the series also she is always calling me and asking me if I read them. SIL is disappointed that they chose him  for Edward.  Esme is my 5yr  daughter's name so they always bring that up.

you are supposed to have a discriptive subject title to your post, so others know what the post is about before they open it.

OOPS. I hope my "question for all you debaters" doesn't piss anyone off then. Sorry ladies. I'm new to this.

Nope, never was pissed, just tryin' to be helpfulLove Ya!

ETA:  OH MY GOSH!!! I just walked away from the computer to deal with my kids and had to run back, it just hit me that you girls probably took my comment the wrong wayConfused.  I totally wasn't trying to be anal (anyone who knows me knows how unanal I am, except for when it comes to HOW my house is cleaned)....but again, I was seriously clueless to the question of this post and it was evident that other girls were too.  I was trying to help you out, Deena, by stating that if you were to specify your question in the subject line than we would know exactly what the post was about and how to answer it.

Sorry girls.  I am one individual that says what I think, and I hardly intend to be rude, disrespectful, mean, etc.  TRUST ME, if I didn't like you or was trying to be hurtful, there would be NO question about it, because I don't sensor myself whatsoever.  (Dh loves me for this, lol).

Okay, now that IS becoming rude...your subject was not originally stated.  Sorry, but I honestly have NEVER heard of twilighter.  Sorry to ask for further clarification!

I am always so very admirable of mommys such as yourself.  I can hardly handle my four.  My oldest just joined Cub scouts and I wonder how the heck I'm gonna add THAT to the routine.  But I still have three little ones at home during the day as well.  I think I might be able to have some "me" time again even come next school year when Ryan goes to school.  Geez, I just tried to take a cat nap on the couch for like 15 minutes and these kids would NEVER allow for it.  I'm not much of a reader though, so I guess that either way I wouldn't be into it.

i've never heard of this twilighter stuff but it sounds interesting...I used to read alot but haven't in awhile. My boys are avid readers they were finishing those thick harry potter books when they were 8-9 and moved on to some dragon series aragon or something like that...I would bet they would enjoy this vampire series also.

My lil sis is a die hard fan, I have never read the books. I did read all the Harry Potter though :)

I'm making it a night out by myself to watch the movie. I can't wait. I don't have time to read. Shoot I barely have anytime for anything. whatever I do I have to be holding a baby LOL! She would probably eat my book.

ALL of my female students have read this book. Seriously. I don't think there is one who hasn't. It's BIG!!! I'm just happy when I see kids reading and I love that they can converse about literature spontaneously with out me forcing it or initiating it. I have not yet read the books but I plan to when I start my maternity leave and have more time...

I have purchased the books already.

Remember ladies...always read the books BEFORE you watch the movie...Happy ROFL

wasn't being rude it was answering your question. I started a really simple debate. That is it and I answered those questions directed at me indicating, what I had done WRONG with starting it. Go back and read the entire thread... I was not being rude once. I would have answered earlier but I work nights, and didn't have time to get my kids school work done and supper before working the rest of the evening. It had to wait till now when everyone is asleep.Happy

Many people don't read. It isn't a crime, but reading sure is enjoyable to many of the rest of us. And the craze over these books to me felt interesting to talk about.Specially since you either LOVE them or Dislike them. Sorry if some felt it was not "debate" specified topic. Now that the title is corrected of MY WRONGLY started subject title, those who find my bebate to trivial to waist their time on can safely use their valuable time to do more meaningful things than debate about my careless topic. This is just a topic of are you or are you not a fan of these super popular novels and why?

I do know I will reframe from posting new topics from here on out. Maybe if my inadiquicy  are singled out more, they could get this mom completely off this board and the entire siteHappy Smilenow wouldn't that be nice for some.

Sorry Denna, perhaps we both misunderstood each other and i sincerely appologize.Sad  I've been feeling the same as you lately (singled out), perhaps that is why I am taking things wrongly--I guess I might be becoming defensive.  I might not be around for much longer either, and i'm sure many would like that too.

I love Twilight--actually I love the whole series!  I don't think you can judge one book without reading the others.  It really takes the 4 books to tell a complete and whole story as each one develops the characters more and sets the stage for the final book.  Great series!  And even though I know I will complain about the movie and how it doesn't match up just so with the book, I still can't wait to see it :)

PrincessPea:
After that, I read Interview with a Vamp then the 4 books that come in that series.

I thought this series was great, too.  But only the original ones which ended with Memnoch the Devil.  I couldn't get into all the ones after that.

Nora Roberts vampire trilogy is a really good read and yes, it gets steamy! This was probably my favorite trilogy that she has written.  Although, the key trilogy is a close second.
