Does anyone have this playskool toy? (wheels/cogs)

dd got this for her birthday and I'm not sure how she's supposed to play with it safely (besides stack cogs).  All the wheels spin together when the button is pushed, but all she wants to do is stick her little fingers in the cogs...and then they get pinched!  She can pull them back out without injury, but it seems like a nasty little toy!  Does anyone else have this toy?  Do YOUR kids stick their fingers in it when it's in motion?  Does the person who gave us this toy hate us??!!

I almost got dd one of those b/c it looked neat, but she was more interested in a barnyard thingy. Lol. I'd give it as a gift....but didn't occur to me that their little fingers could get pinched. My dd would definitely be sticking her fingers in there.

I have a friend who is a developmental therapist and she has that toy in her bag for evaluations.

I will have to tell her of the problem. I know my two year old used to love to play with it.

it is really gentle and DD doesnt have a pinching issue at all. maybe you got a defective one??
