aww thank you guys. That is actually a 3 inch headband I bought on ebay and not a hat. it is the head band that is multi functional.Cutie

want to hear something crazy... even though I peirced my dd's ears at 4 weeks old and won't circ any of my newborn boys and it really doesnt' bother me if my best friends (who have) circed their boys and yet wont' peirce their dd's ears.... I have "issues" with NOT vaccine children... and I even have friends who feel strongly on NOT vaccine on time... but this one thing I do have a hard time with... even though I don't say it out right I make comments like... oh yeah.... mom's in Africa, walk miles and miles to vaccinate their babies......

I know, I know.... I am bad to start the same old debate Embarrassed

Finally I think it looks "tacky" and that mothers who let their baby girls

have both erarings and nail-polish when they are under one years old

really have bad taste - but this is just what I think, no offense

no offence taken.Happy Taste is all in the eye of the beholder.I don't mind being called tacky though. I also have children who all their names start with A, Spelt Aidyn with a Y..

I dont' do nailpolish on a baby (that is super hard to get them to hold their feet still!) but I did put daisy nail decals on her big toes all summer and she wears an ankle braclet and braclets since she was 2 weeks old. How I see it, if you are going to be tacky go all the way Surprise

Before I had my DD's I didn't really get piercing a baby's ears either. My DD is 2 1/2 and I haven't done the nail polish thing not because I think it's tasteless but because my DD is a stubborn mule who I know wouldn't sit still so I don't bother, but my SIL paints both her baby girls nails and I think it's cute.

Ok, I'm just really dissapointed. Can someone explain to me why my post was deleted? I merely agreed that personal attacks shouldn't be made and stated that this was a debate forum and both sides should be allowed to be heard!!

I then went on to say that to the OP that I thought the earrings were gorgeous!

But as we are not allowed to have them done here until bubs is 6 months - that would be the earliest I would do it (if at all). I also mentioned that when and if I did get it done, I wouldn't take the decision lightly and would make sure I had it done professional/properly to cover any health concerns (infections etc).

I'm sorry but I usually agree with posts being deleted if there is a solid reason, but I honestly think that was unnecessary as I don't believe that my post had anything that was cause for removal!

Just for the record - I think the only posts that caused disruption are actually still in here...may want to re-check?

wow, crafty editing of our posts,  did I wake up in China?

saying that mothers who let their DD get earrings are tastless that is okay and allowed to stay...even though it's the same and singling because it points to all of us ladies who posted saying we pierced our DD's ears as tasteless mothers...expecially after the beautiful pictures posted with their dd's, only to be then called tasteless is rather offensive to them.

only the parts of a post that were directly signaling out a person were taken care off.  Attacks to someone are not aloud on this forum.  Please read the rules as stated at the top of the forum that you all agreed to.  I also cut and copied every edited post and showed it to other forum leaders to make sure I was doing it correctly.  So if any post was not edited correctly they can be returned to there original state.

Agreed.  She didn't single us out.  She called us ALL tasteless.  I see the difference......

Be kind people!

Name calling is not permissable!

This is for friendly debate.

Singling people out is NOT nice and will be deleted.

I plan of piercing DD's ears..not sure when bu hopefully before her 6 week pics, and painting her toenails...not her fingernails because she will put those in her mouth, but I see nothing wrong or "cheap" about painting toenails and piercing ears,,,how can a newborn look "cheap"?  I think newborns with tiny little earings are so cute!!!

I wasn't offended by any of the posts and the ones deleted were directed specificly at me. I feel the women who have a beef with my post should be able to express themselves even if I find what they say not in good spirit. I do know it was personal but it was also still part of this debate, hey some people do find babies with earings tacky and without class, I wouldnt have said that after someone posted pics of their babies or a group of people said they peirced their dd's ears but that is me.

My feelings aren't hurt and I do think that what was posted should have been allowed to be read by others, so they could "debate" back based on their own thoughts on the matter... be it for or against. My own mother is against peircing babies ears and so is one of my bestfriends. I still talk to themHappy Giggle but they got to do what they wanted with their dd's just as I did.

My post was edited also... I guess I kind of guess why it was... kind of but not really. It was just one little sentence in response to calling a group of people on a board "tacky and without taste." Actually used those exact wordsHappy Wink and my post was done with humour... not to go after anyone specific. After all, the tacky post was made after I already debated my reasons (along with others)for peircing my dd's ears at 4 weeks old.

I think my presences on in-gender offends some. And I think I know why. Tongue Tied
