Pink or Blue

I've read so many of your messages and much of what everyone says resonates with me. I just did the POB at 13 weeks and it came back telling me i'm having a boy. I am so depressed and disappointed as I already have a little angel of a boy but now wanted a girl. I only want two children and I have been praying do hard for a girl. I am starting to wonder if the test was maybe wrong and if the whole thing is a hoax. So many people seem to have gotten the wrong results, especially when they had a boy before. My son is 21 months and I wonder if they picked up on his DNA although they assured me that "adult" and "toddler" DNA is longer than that of a fetus. Could all this be BS? My doctor checked the website and has no clue who these people are and said they do not describe on their site what methods they use to come to their conclusions. I have my 18 week sonogram on sept 30 and i am hoping for a miracle.....

Please do not get depressed based on the results.  Many of us took this test or one similar and got incorrect results.  I was told that my DD was a boy about the same stage that you are.  She is all girl and it was clear at the big US.  So don't give up hope.  The science is nowhere near as accurate as they claim.  Hang in there until you know for sure.

 I just posted on the other post but also got a BLUE result-but hoping for PINK.......I also have 3yr old and 20 months yr old boys and wonder if the dna is still present.....I wonder how we can find out for sure.....

Thanks. Your message was uplifting because you did the test around the same time as me. Most people do it between 7-10 weeks from what I read so i assumed their results were wrong because they did it on the earlier side. I am relieved to know that there are others out there who also took the test at a later stage, like me. So happy for you that you're having a girl:) My big sono is at 18 weeks on sept 30 so i am trying to hold onto some glimmer of hope, although i don't want to put my hopes up and get all down again.

wow, you have two boys already. no wonder you want a girl now. who knows about the DNA sill being present. it is a possibility... i think it could be. the problem is what my OB-GYN said. we don't really know what methods they use to reach their results... i guess we will know for sure when we do the anatomy scan. mine is scheduled for sept 30 when i will be 18 weeks. when's yours?

DO NOT PUT ANY STOCK IN THESE TESTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Please pretend you never ever took it.   If either of you end up with a boy, then TMPOB just got lucky!!!  When I told my OB/gyn about the test, he was really interested in it and got with DNA specialist of his and they did some research,  he believes that it is totally doable, BUT NOT THE WAY THAT TMPOB DOES  IT.   Maybe if you were at the lab and they took massive amounts of blood and your were much further along thatn 13 wks, then it might, just might be accurate.  You guys sent your samples to a big fat slob of a man who was eating doritos and emaling out random certificates to women. (As did many of us)  Please please please try to put this behind you and know that I'm thinking about you both.   Here's hoping your both get your little girls.  Big hugs to both of you!!!

  Please post your results when you know from the ultrasound  in this forum so other women can see how horrible TMPOB really is.  

Dear Alyssa (or Chloe)? Thanks for your sweet e-mail. It not only was uplifting but it actually made me laugh! it's really interesting to hear what your OB-GYN said. Mine also appeared suspicious of it and told me that he does not know if it's reliable because he has no idea what methods they use. But yours seems to have looked into the matter even further. I am so angry that I took the test, because as you say, even if I am having a boy (which I am sure I am, especially because the shape of my belly is exactly the same again and pointy), it could very well be that they just got lucky. It all sounds so suspicious and the two women who answer the phone seem to dodgy and clueless. I feel like they keep changing their story around too based on what they told me and others on this forum. IF, I do end up having a girl, I will definitely post it on this forum so that I can spread the news about what a scam TMPOB is and hopefully stop other women from taking this test and wasting their money AND emotions.

Tatiana, sounds like you are feeling a bit better.  It's okay to be angry at them, because they are taking a precious thing to women and potenially scamming the hell out of us.  I don't believe in the accuracy at all, but in fairness with me, their customer service was great. When will you get a gender scan?

Hi Alyssa, You think their customer service was great? I found them to be awkward and inconsistent in what they said. And, bear in mind that many people on this forum who got the wrong result have yet to receive their refund! My anatomy scan is at 18 weeks, on September 30. I should found out then, unless the baby is in a really bad position. My hospital does a 4D scan at the anatomy one so it should be clear. We'll see.

Good, you'll find out soon, and can put this whole thing behind you!!!  You deserve to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.   I've not heard anything GOOD about the customer service, in fact I think most people like you feel they are kind of shady, but I have to admit, that was one thing well the only THING that was good about the test with me.   Everybody right result or wrong deserves a refund in my opinion!!!!!

yes i will know soon. before you know it, i will definitely have the confirmation that it is a boy.... that last glimmer of hope will extinguish but in a way, i will be at peace because the guessing game will be over and the acceptance phase can begin... it's so weird because i have looked at the chinese calendar and it's totally 50/50 for my age and month of conception. i don't get it. i have checked like 6 different chinese calendars and they all say something different. i really do not understand that because i thought that there was ONE chinese calendar- that it was what it was- and that there weren't numerous opinions on the chinese calendar. how am i supposed to know which one is right???

Hey Alyssa, i never asked you, do you have two girls? the picture you've posted is so cute but b/c they are both in green i can't tell what they are... my hunch is that they are girls but it's hard to tell...

Don't say it's a boy yet...you don't know!!!!!   
As for the chinese calendars,  I've always heard there were two different ones, and lunar and another one...something about converting age to lunar months...I don't know, but they were right with my two, but I don't buy into them really...

The new pic I put out in green pajamas.  The oldest is a boy and the youngest is my girl, she has a tiny bow on her head but it's hard to see.  My little boy is obessed with twins...to him anybody wearing matching shirts are twins, so we put them in matching sleepers so he could have a "twin". 

it is a boy, unfortunately. i've checked everything by now. fortune.baby says boy, 50% of the chinese calendars say boy, pink or blue said boy and i just know deep inside that it is a boy. you'll see... i will let you know after m ultrasound. of course when i see it for myself and get the confirmation i am sure i will flip out and be so disappointed again as it will be so final.... you're so lucky to have one of each. that is truly a blessing. so are you done now or do you want more children? i always hoped my second would be a girl so that my older son could take care of her...

For me Fortune baby and TMPOB said boy ALONG WITH TWO INTELLIGENDERS!  And still it was a girl!  Does your gut tell you anything...I really thought I'd have a girl. 

I'd like one more, I want to sway hard for another girl, just because my youngest two then would be the same gender.  If I had a boy than there would be a 5-6 year gap between them.   But I would be okay with either.
