From what I have read, it is ok to take it the first few weeks of pregnancy. But after you get your BFP, you will just want wean off of it. If your taking 2 pills, take 1. If you are taking one, take half. Etc. I will find the info that I found and post it...

Almighty Creator, Hear this prayer and the wishes of my heart. You know my deep desire for a child, a little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish. grant that my body may conceive and give birth to a beautiful, healthy baby in Your holy image. Guide me in all my choices so that this conception, my pregnancy and my baby's birth are in line with Your will. Heavenly Father hear this prayer of my heart, mind and spirit. Amen~

Renee,
Are you taking B6 also? Just curious. I'm taking the other supps except for Vitex.
Right now I'm on CD30 and FF can't figure out when I ovulated! I was 10dpo and thought for sure I O'd then my temp dropped. FF changed it's prediction! Now I'm confused. I keep waiting for AF - I took an Early PG test yesterday and got a BFN. We only bd'd once this month because it is the first month after a m/c (I wasn't taking any girl supps then - I got a bad toothache and the Dr said the infection could have caused the m/c). I'm just a mess!!
Anyway, just curious if I should do Vitex instead since you O'd earlier! Or Vitex and B6?!?!
Thanks!!

No, I'm not there yet. I'm starting supps one at a time and trying to get my body used to them because they are giving me heartburn. I started with Vitex, the one I was most excited about, because I have very irregular, long cycles. If Vitex makes them more regular and shorter, then not only will timing my attempt be easier, but I'll have more chances to TTC. I'm very impatient, and know I won't be able to last long without a BFP before I start loosening up on my attempts. Anyway, I started Vitex, and now I'm on Calcium. I'm taking Folic Acid, too, because you should always take that when TTC to prevent birth defects. I'm going to start Magnesium next if the heartburn goes away from the Calcium like it did for the Vitex. Although at this rate I may just scrap the supplements altogether and just use replens/lime douche. If I can't get the heartburn under control - aaargh! I think a lot of ladies on here do both. I'm not aware of a reason you can't do both.

From everything that i have read Vitex is safe to take when ttc but it is recommended that you stop taking it when you are pregnant and/or nursing. Some studies show that Vitex in early pregnancy can decrease miscarriage but for the most part it has been inconclusive. But there are some people that take it till the end of the first trimester. i took vitex when ttc dd and stopped taking it as soon as i got a bfp. Here are some links: http://www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com/vitex.html
http://healthyimmunity.com/Products/Vitex-Chaste-Tree-Berry.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitex_agnus-castus And here is some info i copied and pasted about Vitex
Vitex agnus-castus (chaste tree berry) is a well-known
herb that has been used for centuries in Europe for hormonal
imbalances in women.
It may be helpful for women with PCOS who do not have a normal
menstrual
cycle and thus don't ovulate or menstruate. A large
percentage of these menstrual problems are related to
insufficient progesterone during the luteal phase of the
menstrual cycle, which is called a luteal
phase defect or corpus luteum insufficiency. A corpus luteum
insufficiency is defined as an abnormally low progesterone level
3 weeks after the onset of menstruation. Insufficient levels of
progesterone may result in the formation of ovarian cysts. In addition, some PCOS women have too much prolactin, which can
inhibit fertility. Vitex may help with both of these problems
When using chaste tree berry, don’t expect immediate
results. It may not have much effect until it is taken for at
least 3-6 months.
It’s not the same as taking progesterone. You don’t
give it, stop it, and then expect a withdrawal bleed a few days
later as you would if you were taking progesterone or synthetic
progestins.

Redcin:Thank you mom of 3 princes! Now where did you find this info:

That whole copied section is from the first link in my post

Check out this post I found: http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/p/16037/138443.aspx#138443 I think I'm going to quit starting today. I'm just getting a bad feeling, like this is not the path I'm supposed to take while TTC.
