Well I went to the doctor yesterday and found out I had a PMP! Now I can't even try again for 6 months to a year!!!Angry Talk about bad luck! I have to go back every 2 weeks to have hcg levels checked and hopefully they do drop so I don't have to worry about anything else. Has anyone experienced this? I have never heard of it (PMP) and spent all night researching it online. Scary stuff if it doesn't go away!

Oh, goodness!  I don't know too much about PMP, but I do know they can be troublesome.  I'm so sorry, sweetie.  I wish you all the best and good luck in future TTC plans!Good Luck Clover

Wow!  Yes I do know a little bit about it and it is scary.  I do know they like you to wait a year before conceiving again which sucks big time.  I am soooooo sorry you have to go through that.  I think because it was partial and not a full molar pg, that is a positive.  I suppose they are going to give you methotrexate?  They have to make sure it is totally gone and they probably like you to wait because of the possibility of happening again??  Not sure why so long, but that must be the reason.  Big hugs!  That is so not fair!

    Re: Partial Molar Pregnancy....

Some moles can go really really crazy-start eating into your uterus and act like a cancer to your body. Many docs I know recommend waiting a year to ensure that "nothing" is happening. It does not take much in the way of any leftover cells to be reactivated and go nutty again in the face of a new pregnancy.

So sorry. This really sucks. Bad enough that you have not only lost your baby, but then to be told you have to put your dreams on hold is  double whammy.

    Best of luck.

I'm so sorry, like charliecats said, what a double blow to have a loss and a scary situation, and not be able to try again right away.  Lots of hugs to you. Hearts

If it isn't gone then yes they will give me the methotrexate. There is only a 1-2% chance of it happening again luckily but I'm supposed to wait cuz the doc said if I were to get pregnant before they knew if it was for sure gone then it would be hard to tell cuz the hcg levels would be present cuz of the pregnancy (that's how they check to make sure the mole is gone). And yes a partial is better cuz the wait is less!!!!

I do know of someone who had a molar pregnancy.  She didn't wait a full year as she was advised to.  She got pregnant 9 months after her D and C and gave birth to Baby GirlBaby Boy twins.
