    Have any of you noticed...

That all of this EGS works better than IVF/PGD?????  Seriously Take a look.  This board has more success than the board where the women pay to have the gender of choice.  Anyone notice????  This is why I want to really understand how to do this.  Can anyone suggest how I should start.  Please let me know.  Thanks

if you get pregnant with PGD you have a 100% chance at getting the gender of your dreams.  There is no comparison to that

that is a big IF you get pregnant!!!!  It really is not as easy as it seems.  I have talked to many people who have done this process and nothing to show except debt.  Also, if you look at the High Tech Board you will see how many times it takes or how much money has been spent with no baby.  It is not like you walk in and have it done and get a baby!!  There are only a small percent that are OHW's.

correct, but to assume at home methods are as good as high tech is like comparing apples to oranges

Re: Have any of you noticed...

Well I think it is a personal choice. It depends on how much you can handle an opposite. Whether you want another baby or only the gender of your choice. I think people going hi-tech dont want another baby , they only want a baby of their desired gender.

Not getting pregnant with all that money invested is the downside of Hi-tech and getting an opposite is the downside of EGS. It depends on which is worse for you.

that is a dangerous statement.  i dont want women to believe that if they do egs they are 100% sure to get pg with their desired gender.  you just cant make that promise.  just like i cant promise that you will get pg with ivf.  there are no garauntees in this game.

Well, that is obvious.  There are no guarentees with anything in life.  My point was that I have just noticed more success either on the boards or people that I have talked to who have done EGS versus those who have done IVF.  The point made was not to be taken as a dangerous statement, so please do not turn it into something that it's not.  I am trying to weigh all of my options and I merely wanted to see if any one noticed as well.  It was not said for anyone to critize me and make it like I am trying to cause trouble.  Because I am not!  I think the post that said either you have opposite gender w/egs or you don't get pregnant with ivf is the choice you have to make. That says it all best.

Don't worry no one is trying to criticize you.  Like I said, comparing pgd to egs is like comparing cats to dogs.  Success is defined differently by the two.  For example, pgd you are successful if you get a bfp.  Because once you get that bfp you KNOW the gender will be what you want.  EGS is judged on if you get the gender you want because getting a bfp is easier (and cheaper).  Yes right now msu/su is running 100% but thats because only 2 people have done it so far.  It won't stay at 100%   The more people that do it the more we will see what the real % could be- but this could take years.  I always tell people.. if they have the money and the means they should do PGD over egs.  Or if they can only afford one pgd then do that so you wont always wonder what if.  Then do egs second.
