Is anyone else obsessed with other famlies gender mix!

 Everywhere I go EVERY family group I see I do an automatic head count of the numbers of boys and girls! And their order! Even when I'm driving I'm slowing down the car to get a look in a buggy to see if its another girl or boy!

I think its because we only have the one baby so far so I'm always wondering what our final gender mix will be and of course dreaming of having a girl. We would love and hope for 4 children.

Coming from a family of 3 girls, no brothers I always wished for a girl and hoped for the sooner the better so then I can relax! The good news though is that when pregnant I did worry I wouldn't know what to do with a boy! And might not bond easily but I just fell in love with my darling DS as soon as I saw him! 

 I just wish I knew the final "score"! 

Some interesting families I know!

 8 Children - 4 4 in total. So lucky!  

7 Children - 1 followed by 6 My Grandmothers family! imagine that could happen to me! Then I think I'd be sorry not to have another boy! Crazy! 

4 Children - Non identical twin followed by identical twin The odds of that! Saw that on TV!  

16 children -  8 8 in total! 

My ideal is 2 of each!

Though most days I feel I'll never get my girl never mind 2!  

So yes I am obsessed!

I do that too!  Even trying to get a peak inside people's strollers.  The sad thing is, if someone has a girl, I automatically dislike them (self-defense mechanism, I guess).  If someone has 3 or more boys, I automatically like them- I guess I feel like this lady knows what it's like to be me!   I hope I do get my girl someday so I can stop being so hateful:(

OMG, this is so hysterically true!  I peak in the strollers too.....not so much cars, but I do look at other familes for sure!

OMG, didn't realize others do this....I do a head count and do # of girls vs. # of boys...and what makes me feel so terrible is when I see 2 big brothers and a baby sister, since that is what I thought I would end up with after having my ds#1 and ds#2...I figured, oh, God's plan is to have a DD for #3, so that she would have 2 big brothers!  But when I see the two big brother and baby sister combo it devastates me, still and my ds#3 is 3-1/2.  Now my thought is God's plan is to have what I had...3 big brothers (2 sisters, too...but NO WAY am I having 6 kids!!!)  LOL  Anyway, not sure how I'm achieving my DD, I've been reading up on swaying, but now I'm thinking I need to consider hi tech...I was reading a post, which made me realize that after having 3 c sections...I believe I can only have 1 more, so I think I need to consider hi tech (again...).  The thought of having DS#4 wasn't nearly as terrible as the thought of not being able to have any more children, thus never getting my DD.  Anyway, in a nutshet...I, TOO, AM OBSESSED!!!!

I absolutely am too!!  I can't stand it some days...just going into Target ya know.  I notice Mom's w/their kids EVERYWHERE...

Oftentimes I get choked up for a moment...Will it ever go away??  It's hard to be around family too...I am the only one w/o a girl...

I had a day (out the other day) where I payed attention to the fact that it actually didn't bother me..that particular day..I wasn't feeling obsessed w/it ya know...it felt good!

Oh me too!!! Although I have a girl and really want a baby boy. We only want one more so this one has to be a boy- if I ever get pregnant. A friend called today to tell me she's expecting (a surprise) Her baby boy is only 7 months old. My first thought was bet she'll have a girl! Quickly followed by how did she get pregnant when I'm the one with the OPK and temping? So frustrating! Thanks for giving me a place to vent. awful to feel this way but honestly sometimes it just doesn't seem fair. Ok I'm done complaining back to checking my ph  

I am!  It seems almost all of the human population has either a pigeon pair or at least one of each!

Yes, I am obsessed too!  Even now that I'd say my GD is gone, I still feel obsessed with the gender of peoples' children.  Glad to know I'm not alone.

I do a head / gender count of people's children everywhere I go so I am glad to see I am not the only one. The funny thing is I tend to "spot out" the other one gendered families more than the mixed ones. I then precede to wonder if they have GD and how severe.. Then I realize that one gendered families seem to be more common than I first realized and this scares me to death!

I noticed a lady looking at my two boys the other day while I was watching DS #2 at his swimming lessons. She had 5 boys all close in age and she asked me if I was expecting a boy or a girl. I almost felt that I was put on the spot as I did not want to offend her in any way. I told her I was having a girl and she just smiled at me. I can't help but wonder if she hated me because of that :(

That's so funny because just today at Wal-Mart, there was a lady with two older girls (about the same as mine) and a baby carrier in the basket but I couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl...so I actually followed her for a couple of minutes so I could see and it was also a girl. I felt some relief for some reason, strange I know (and a little sad). 

 Oh so glad to see I'm not the only one!!

I really do seem to spend all my time looking into buggys/strollers! At the moment I don't really feel anything towards the mother but its just a head count to see what families can be made of! At first I was only noticing all boy families but now I head count every family!! 

Oh well so long as I dont crash the car with my spying or get arrested for stalking (LOL at following the trolley around know I'd have done that too!!!) I suppose its no harm!!

Where ever I go I look at the mothers thinking, is she a natural aicidic one since she has two girls with her, and

did she always DTD with a cutoff...it is hilarious that I am actually

thinking much about how others concieve thier babies...

yesterday at a restaurant was a family with two daughters and I tried to get a peak as

to what meals the mother and father had to eat, so if I could see any clues... OMG talk about crazy...

This is exactly what I thought when i was preg wi ds3 xxxx
