I PREVIOUSLY POSTED BGM RESULTS SHOW BOY, AND MY 20 WEEK ULTRASOUND (2D) TODAY CLEARLY CONFIRMED BOY.  WE ARE THRILLED, BUT I AM NO LESS ANGERED AND FRUSTRATED BY THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE AND HOPE THAT WE CAN, AT A MINIMUM, SEE THIS COMPANY PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.  I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL OF YOUR POSTINGS DAILY AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

I DON'T THINK THE TEST WAS NECESSARILY CORRECT- I SAY- LUCKY GUESS ON THEIR PART...

Anything else? I wish I'd never wasted my money on this test, as I truly do not believe I'll get my refund.  Still, I'm thrilled that we're having a girl!!!

Don't feel like your alone... there are tons of us who got a BOY result and the baby is a GIRL...I took my test on 7/20 and I am due 2/16... so pretty close to you on the dates.. I think alot of people who took the test before Auguest got BOY results no matter what.. they probably didn't even run tests on the samples... they didn't start looking for both chromosomes until after Aug...so that may explain it.. but I am like you.. I AM SO EXCITED IT"S A GIRL.... we have another u/s on Nov 17... this will be my 3rd after 20 weeks.. so I know they are accurate and the genitalia are already well formed... both so far have been 100% sure a GIRL... so we will see on this last one in a couple of weeks...

Anything else?  We were so exicted to receive the results of BGM, but then the NPR story came out and the following day I had my ultrasound that showed only girl parts.  I had my original sample retested last week, so it's a different test than they originally performed, and they still say boy!  This has been so frustrating and an emotional rollercoaster!  Acu-Gen GUARANTEE'S that I am carrying a boy or when I send them a birth certificate they'll send me 200% of my $$.  What a nightmare!

We are preparing for a girl, yet saving all receipts.  Our children have already bonded with their little sister.  At the same time we keep saying that "she's more than likely a girl," but we don't know for sure.  We only participated in BGM because of the claimed 99.9% accuracy.  My gut tells me they will come out around 80 - 90% accurate, and I wish I had waited for the U/S.  Like another mother has said, this BGM experience has taught me patience, as well.  Not racing out for additional ultrasounds, etc...I have learned my lesson and am content to wait for this baby to find out, if necessary.

I'm thinking about doing a re-test, but wondered if I would still get a refund if the results really are different.  The tech who did my ultrasound gave us two very clear pictures showing male anatomy.  With all these other false test results, I think I'm siding with the ultrasound tech!

Anything else?  I am a REAL mom and this is my REAL story.  I'm a regular poster on Pregnancy.org in the Due in April club, and have been for about three months.  I did not come to In-Gender to pull some character assasination on Acu-Gen.  I came to this site in search of answers when I began to see inaccuracies on various message boards and heard the NPR report. 

My girl u/s was confirmed by both an ultrasound tech and perinatologist at a major metropolitan medical center.  I did not tell them the Acu-Gen result (boy) before they independently gave me their results (girl).

Hello I'm Mara due 6-17-06 I got in on the study thing they are doing. Acugen today said I'm having a boy. I have 2 girls and have never carried a boy so I'm wondering if that makes a diffrence in thier accuracy. I hear they are wrong more often when you have a previous boy. Any truth to that?

I have neer been pregnant before and got a boy result from BGM. I have since had 2 US that show girl very clearly. They have tested my sample (same one) three times and all times it came back as boy. The last time it was only 3 weeks ago.
