Date you did BGM:  9/21 Weeks of pg (gestation) on this date: 20 weeks 3 days.  I tested this late to get additional confirmation of a girl after the first girl ultrasound....After 3 boys, I didn't want to get my hopes up until I was sure. Age and genders of previous children?   13 yrs, 10 yrs, and 2 yrs 9 mths.  All boys After emailing Acu-Gen several ultrasound pics they wanted to re-test.  They re-tested the same sample 3 times and then offered me a new re-test.  i sent in the new blood sample and was told that 3 of the 5 biomarkers are for boy versus 2 for girl so it is a boy.  I told him I just have a hard time understandng how 8 ultrasounds could all be wrong and asked him how that could be.  He continued to argue the accuracy of his test and never answered my question. Update:  Recieved 100% of my money back and Wang promised me the other 100% after the birth if I send a birth certificate.   I spoke to a reporter for the St Louis Post (Michael Sorkin) around October.  I told him my story with Acugen and he did an article about it.  I plan on dropping him an email after the baby is born and hopefully  he will do a  follow up story.

Anything else?  I was so excited to have the ultrasound tech say she was "sure" it was a girl...that's what we wanted, but there are SOOOO many boys in the family, I just thought we'd have boys like everyone else.  The u/s tech could see my skepticism and showed us several angles and was just 100% sure.  But, my husband could tell I was still a little uncertain, so he ordered the test for me (after we sort of joked about it) just to convince me.  Well, here I am still confused.....

Anything else? All of the things I have heard about the baby gender mentor being innacurate have made me so upset. My little girl, Jordana, passed away only a few weeks before I found out that I was pregnant again. We took the baby gender mentor in hopes that knowing the sex of this baby would help us come to terms with having a child in the midst of all of this sadness and heartache, and hopefully make it a little easier for us to bond. When I got the results from Acu-gen, I felt as though my heart had been torn out. I don't know why - I guess that deep down inside I really believed that we were going to have a little girl. At first, I thought it was good that I had so much time to come to terms with having a boy. That is how I found this forum - seeking advice on gender dissapointment. Now that I know how often these tests are wrong, I am right back where I started: nowhere.

I will update as soon as I have another ultrasound, which should be sometime next month. All i can say, at this point, is that I truly wish that I had never heard of this test - i don't care if it's right or wrong anymore. I simply don't trust Acu-gen.

Anything else?  It was a very disappointing experience.  I thought I was a modern, cutting-edge woman taking this test.  I did research on the science behind Acu-gen's claim and trusted the journalist promoting the test.  Turns out I was just duped.  I feel embarrassed but that will not stop me speaking out and putting a stop to this!

I just had an amnio done yesterday and got the results today. On tues I will have a 4d u/s. Although I posted for the 4d on here as well because after the amnio results today it is in fact a BOY. I am basically having the 4d done for fun but sure I am gonna see a 4d penis :-)

I am soooo upset!  I was singing the praises of the BGM to all my friends!  I found out yesterday at 20 weeks they were wrong!  Ugh!  I will be on vactaion to NYC Oct 20-24.  I've already written the Today Show.  Katie, your story was BS!

Did you follow the instructions exactly for collecting the blood sample for BGM?  I did not know you could not dab your finger on the collection card.  My blood was starting to dry, so I had to.  Only after reading on the WEBSITE (not the instructions in the kit) did I learn you should not do this.  That is why I called and they said it was okay, but they would re-run test.  I have a 16 month old boy, so I think I may have had some of his cells on my finger or something (or my husband's) since you are not suppose to touch the card.

Update:  Acu-gen re-tested my blood and confirmed girl.  Claimed I had a vanishing twin.  App. 1 week later, I received a refund via check by mail for $550.  Hasn't bounced yet, but skeptical :))
