Does anyone know how long the process takes for spicy food to reach breastmilk? 

i dont know. but heres my thoughts on spicy food and bm.  people in india, mexico, thailand, etc  breastfeed.  it doesnt bother their babies.  how does that work?

Agree w/ pp.  I think if you reg ate spicy during your PG your baby would be used to it??

hmmmm, well that explains her acne!

 Hi ya!! Her acne would be from your hormones........not the food you've eaten. When your hormones regulate after birth, some women have higher levels of oestrogen so it gives their babies infant acne. All my kids have had it!! As far as I know........food takes around 2-6 hours to go through to your milk. Everyone's milk varies. How is your little princess? Still sleeping well?

Thank you for that...... man, if you had of seen my chocolate consumption during my PG, well, Cadbury would probably have signed me up! LOL

and yes, my little princess is doing well.... she's quite the little oinker!  how is your little precious girl?

 Yes my little princess is still giving me trouble!! I have permanent black circles under my eyes!! She is still waking 4 times a night!! Needless to say I am a zombie. I have just put her back on the lactose free formula for the past 3 days to see if that will help. Not much difference yet. We'll see. I also wish I had the energy to lose some of this weight.........but no, I am just a jiggling bowl of jelly!

awwwwwwww Sophie has finally calmed down. she loves to go out she is a little terror at home. so maybe take her out so she can croud watch. I used the lactose formula for like 2 weeks and it did wonders but now she is back to the regular and it does not seem to bother her anymore

For me it takes between 2 and 3 hours. 3 days ago I took ds2 out for lunch at Taco Bell and had some nachos with medium sauce (not even that spicy!) and she had gas like you would not believe after her 3:00 feeding. It's getting better, though, b/c she wasn't cranky at all.

I don't eat spicy stuff often, though, so that's probably most of the problem.

I crave spicy food when i'm pregnant and i do not change my diet at all when i'm breastfeeding. 

Funny thing...ds1 is the only baby i got heartburn with when i ate spicy food so i stopped eating it when i was pg. And he is the only one of my kids that can not eat spicy food. ds3 who just turned 2 a few months ago ate chicken and rice in an Indian tikka masala sauce the other day for dinner. YUM!!!
