Hi! I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on how to approach the next 24 hrs. I just got a +OPK this afternoon (about 2 ish?) and had alot of EWCM this afternoon. I am going to wait until my CM shifts but I also have BD'd the last 4 days so I am not sure if it is sperm making it so like EWCM as well? My temps have held steady at 97.2-97.4 the last few days so I am pretty sure that is not a spike? Does an actual spike go above 98 degrees? Basically I just need to know when I can BD again in the safe zone without letting the egg die. I am thinking about taking sudafed now and then a vinegar douche tomorrow before BD maybe followed up by the lime tampon--just do many steps and not sure if I am timing it all right..any help is soo greatly appreciated!! Thanks! 

Hi--I noticed your questions haven't been answered yet. I'll try my best since time is of the essence!  From what I've read on this site, when your Cervix shifts from soft and open to firm and closed it is around O+12. Your CM chifts from either EW to creamy or creamy to dry. You have from then to about 8 hours after that shift (making it O+12-20). Your temp is an obvious spike above your highest temp in your cycle. It is different for everyone so not sure about it being above 98 necessarily but from what I've seen on charts from FF it has been above 98.  I would go by your shift in C and CM and not necessarily the OPK+. You only have a little window after your temp spikes. HTH!  I am in the same boat, just waiting for O as I'm on CD 12. GL!

How are you girls doing?  I'm also waiting for O+12 time.  I'm having a long cycle.  I'm on CD 16 and my CBE monitor just read high for the first time.  I'm probably 2-3 days away from my peak reading/O + 12 time.  I hate the time between the peak reading and our attempt.  I can't stand feeling like we're letting the fertile time slip by but of course I don't want to attempt too early.  Then after we attempt, I spend the next few days obsessing over the timing!   Hope all goes well for you!

I had a + opk today so now I'm just watching and waiting for my attempt. This is so nerve-wracking! I am getting way too obsessive about it. I don't want the fertile time to go by either but I don't want it to be too early. How's it going for you?

 Hi girls! Thank you so much for taking the time to get back to me...i feel like sometimes I need to write a really catchy sunject line to generate views and some advice--maybe I will try "Free Designer Shoes-read on!" next time! LOL

Anyway, I am not sure if I did anything right with all of this in the first place. We BD a few days before hand and then I got the +OPK and waited a little over 24 hours (and after my LH surge was gone and it turned -) and then I douched with a Summers Eve, used replens, drank alot of crystal light and went heavy on the supplements. All in all I had one sore Va-JJ!! I think I still had a bit of the EWCM or maybe it was sperm?? So hard to tell...but I was getting afraid the open window would close and at this point b/c I have been dealing with secondary infertility for over a year-and just had a Lap/Endometreosis and a cyst removed-I am just ready to be prego and stop the emotional rollercoaster. After reading alot of the posts I am starting to believe it is more about the acid/alkaline enviornment rather than timing anyway. Any thoughts?

I got a +OPK on Monday at 11am. We had a 10 day abstinence and did a lime douche followed by TBM at 10 pm Tuesday followed by another small (3 ml) lime douche at 10:30pm.  Who knows if it was right but in the afternoon on Tuesday I could feel my cervix getting firmer and slightly more closed and low. By the time I did the TBM it was low and firm and very little CM if any---sort of a pasty cm.  At some point you just have to go for it.  This morning I had my temp spike so I'm pretty sure I had the timing right. I was CD 14 (sounds a bit "textbook" to me!).  So now the 2WW! GL! I'm afraid the wait will be so nerve-wracking. Keep us posted! Kristen

 Hi girls!

I went for it last night!  My temp was up this morning and I haven't really had any EWCM today so I think my timing was okay.  Whatever cm I do have is a ph of 4.5.  When I attempted last night, my cervix had just started to feel more firm, although I have a hard time detecting changes there.   We tried to do it all again, DH hot shower, Sudafed for me, lots of Crystal Light for both, douches before and after, lime tampon all night, etc.  DH had abstained for 13 days.  I've kept the lime tampons, Sudafed, and extra Crystal Light going today just in case I messed up the timing.  After several months of TBM without conceiving, it's getting hard to feel hopeful about it.  A May baby would be ideal though!!
