Just had to share and thought "The Boy Zone" would be the perfect place....

Every year, my boys get very excited to choose their Halloween costumes. Sometimes, they even want to choose "super duo" costumes, which I am a total sucker for. Happy LOL A few years ago, they were Batman and Robin. Last year, they wanted to be Tom and Jerry, but I couldn't find the costumes in their size so they ended up just being a ninja (my then 6 year old) and an elephant (my then 3 year old who LOVES elephants).

This year, at ages 7 and 4, they are being Mario and Luigi from the Nintendo Video games. The outfits are SO adorbale. I bought the handmade blue overalls from a woman on Ebay and I bought the "newsboy" caps from Amazon and glued a felt white circle and a green "L" for Luigi and a red "M" for Mario on them. Then they just wear a red shirt and a green shirt underneath. They are SUCH cuties in them!

I'm going to take the boys to Picture People to have photos taken. It's definitly a memory I'll want to keep!

I was thinking the same thing as I've been searching on ebay for Alayna's costume this year and I saw a Donald Duck costume that was soooooo cute and thought if she were a boy I'd definitely get that! Then I also saw a very cute Jiminey Cricket.

The funniest one was a whopee cushion, but I'd never do that to my kids!!!!!!

That is so cute, I can't wait to see the mario and luigi pics!!

My boys have been batman and robin, and woody and buzz, and two M&M's.  Then they got old enough to refuse to do coordinating costumes, so enjoy it while it lasts!

    Maureen your boys are adorable!!!

This year my ds1 wants to be a robot.  He wants to make his costume from a diaper box.   He also wants ds2 to be a robot with him.  I hope he will forget or change his mind because I like that batman and Robin idea

This is SOOOO much fun!  I was just thinking the other day about this and I got too excited.  I am thinkng that since my oldest LOVES Buzz Lightyear, I would make the Boys dress up as Woody and Buzz.  DS #2 has an adorable set of Batman PJ's with the cap and everything and he looks sooo cute running around in them that I was pondering doing Batman and Robin, but I don't think that either boy would keep the masks on, so I need costums without masks!

They want to coordinate?  That's great, m y boys never do.  Last year is the first, they were turtles---DS1 and DS2 were TMNT and DS3 was Squirt from Nemo.  But, actually, the older boys had 2 costumes, my mom and my dad both bought for them!  My dad bought Superman and Power Ranger (so they really couldn't decide what they wanted to be).  But, when they were all turtles, it was really cute!

BTW, wish we still had Picture People!  We used to go there every year for Halloween pics---ours closed :(  Loved that place!

I LOVE coordinating the costumes!!! I think Luigi and mario is an awesome idea!!!!

One year ds1 was a knight and ds2 was a prince. Then the next year ds2 wanted to be a dragon and ds1 wanted to be a knight again so that he could slay the dragonHappy LMAO

Oh my gosh- I love Halloween too!  That picture is hilarious with the knight and the dragon.  I hope my boys will want to coordinate this year.  I'm sure my oldest will want to be something star wars.

wendy - lol @ the Whoopee Cushion! It'd never do that either!

Maureen - Cute photo of your little superheroes! (Robin is so cute blonde!) I'm sure this will probably the last year my older son will be wanting to coordinate with his brother, so I am taking your advice and enjoying it! I will post the photos when I get them for sure.

Sweet-tart - My dad made a great robot costume for me when I was young using lots of tin foil, a box with various knobs put in it and heating duct tubes for my arms and legs to fit into. It was a great looking costume (but not so comfortable! It was VERY difficult to get in and out of the pick-up truck to go from house to house - I grew up in the boonies of New Hampshire!)

HotMaMa - Either would be adorable!

Brandy - My boys usually end up with more than one costume. I try to buy several after Halloween so that they can dress up and play and also so that they can change their mind last minute or wear different costumes for the school parade and trick-or-treating.

Mom of 3 princes - Awesome photo! That is such a BOY photo!

Sailormoonmomma - I'll bet the skunk costume was really cute. Yeah, I plan on putting mustaches on my boys as well - we'll see how long they last for, but I'll try.

I LOVE Halloween (and it's my birthday!)  Last year my ds1 was a police man and ds2 was his police dog.  I got a dog collar at the dollar store, and made a HUGE tag to put on it that said, "K9 Patrol" so it would appear as if they coordinated.  It was cute!  And a few years ago, my SIL made ds1 a Thomas the Tank Engine costume out of a cardboard box and painted a white coverall to look like Sir Topham Hat.  He was 6 months old and still SO BALD that it was perfect for him!
