    PLEASE HELP!!!

It's been almost 6 years since my DS1 was a baby and there seems to be so many more choices now (or at least I've forgotten about the vast selection).

What are the best bottles to use?  I've considered the "drop in" kind for convenience sake.  I remember using Avent with my son (but have read negatives about the bottles containg BPA.  The "curved" type look as though they'd keep air out.....but I'm dumbfounded.)  I feel like a first time mom again Embarrassed

I'm open to ALL suggestions and recommendations

With both of my boys, the only bottles that they liked and that didn't cause too much gassiness were the parent choice brands at walmart. Honestly, I think the BPA thing is just a freakout thing for some people. In GINORMOUS amounts, I am sure it would cause cancer etc, but in the amounts that we and our babies are exposed to in the bottles is nil. Just my opinion, don't freak out anyone!!! Anyway- that aside, I think the next baby I have I am going to try using the soothie bottles. They have nipples like the soothie pacifiers.

You can have a look at them and read reviews at www.productreview.com.au

I have used these both times - LOVE THEM. They seem to help baby suck more naturally because their mouth can open wider and get the whole teet in their mouth just like they would when breastfeeding. They have a hole in the teet aswell to let air out as they suck so that they don't get too much wind (my boys have never had any trouble with colic or anything), they are comfortable to hold and easy to clean.

I used Dr Brown's bottles for my first two.  They are awesome for reflux and tummy problems.  This time I am switching to the Bornfree brand that does not have BPA's.  Dr Brown glass bottles are bpa free but I would worry too much about breaking them.  Bornfree are supposed to be like Dr Brown's for reflux problems.  So we'll see.  I figure that the BPA issue could be overkill, but don't want to risk it if there are options available that are BPA free.  Goodluck deciding.

I'm using the Dr. Brown's with the wide necks right now.  We tried the similar Playtex Ventair ones but you can't put those in a cup of warm water to heat because of the air vents in the bottom.

Dr Brown's has a plastic bottle that is BPA free.

I just found them today at Babysrus and put them on my registry.  I had looked a few months back and they only had the glass.  I'm so excited.

I've always used the playtex bottles with the liners... I don't like the 'drop-in' liners, so I still used the regular 'ole liners...
