My DS is turning 5 in a couple of weeks and he is really into batman at the moment (even though he has never seen a batman movie or show). Now i have no problem buying a batman figurine for him but he really wants a joker one as well. Does anyone think it is ok to give him the joker figurine? It comes with a gun type thing which i would not be giving him as i don't let any of my boys play with toy guns.

I'm not sure what to do. Do i give him the figurines without the weapons? Or just not give him the joker at all?

There was a joker played by Jack Nicholson in one of the 1st batman movies that isn't quite as scary looking. You might not be able to find it tho. If your son has seen the figure already, you probably could give it to him without the gun.  They are constantly showing the new Joker on tv right now, so you can't get away from it. Ask dh what his feelings are on it. Definitely don't take him to see the new movie. My dh said it is very scary and he was glad that he didn't take our six year old. He said that there were some parts that were iffy for our 10 yr old who did get to go. Your son would probably not play out anything too bad with the figure especially since he hasn't seen him in action on the screen. Let us know what you decide.

I thinsk that it would be okay to give him the Joker without the weapons.  I have a boy who is almost five too and I know with all his action figures he rarely if ever plays with any of the attachments that go with them.  He just plays with the figures and I usually take all the little pieces out anyway because of my younger ones.  Happy Smile

Thanks for your replies.  I think that i will give him the figurines without the weapons. He has seen the joker figurine in the shop and really wants it.  I definatly won't be letting him see the movie, i am quite strict on the things i let him watch as there is way to much violence in movies and tv these days.  Thanks again
