I posted this in another area before I saw this forum. I just wanted to know if anyone having or had twins that went undetected in the early scan (around 7 weeks). Either wishful thinking or intuition, I just feel like there is 2.  By the way, we transfered 2 when we did the ET. 

I didn't find out I was having twins until my 20 wk ultrasound and I had an early one around 7 weeks.  I'm not positive, but I think that Maureen didn't find out until later too.  Congratulations!!!  I'll send you my blue twin dust!!

Andy's right, both my 6wk and a 9wk u/s saw only one baby, so I was sure there was just one.  I didn't find out there were twins until 20 weeks!

I found out at 17week u/s  with my girls. At 8 weeks my Doc said that I looked like I was about 3months along since my tummy was so big!! He suspected there were 2 early on and was right! GL!!

I have heard that early u/s, the 2nd baby can hide behind the 1st.  A friend of mine didn't know she was having twins til the 20 wk u/s.  They never heard 2 heartbeats. 

Mine went undetected until I made the dr look harder for the second one due to the fact that I was getting big really fast. ALso, a twin pregnancy (just my own experience) is a lot different than a single pregnancy (fatigue, energy, growth,contractions) so look for other signs your body may be telling you. You can always demand they take another look. They should be able to see another one around 12 weeks when there is little room for the other one to hide!

My twin pregnancy was no different to my single pregnancies & I found out that I was carrying my twins at the 11 week nuchal scan.

Although, my mum had no idea she was expecting twins until after my twin sister was born! She told the midwife that she could still feel something moving in her tummy & the midwife told her it was 'nonsense'. She then examined her & realised there was another baby in there & out I popped !"!.... thank god for scans these days!!

My dad was seriously freaked out & had a vasectomy 1 month later !!!
