Hi my name is Lindsay and I posted here once (under the name 'wanting to believe') last year after being told at my U/S I was expecting my long awaited daughter. I was really scared that they had made a mistake but I got lots of messages of support from all the great ladies here. Well, the scan was right and Abigail is nearly 9 months now - she has 3 adoring big brothers and I still look at her and find it 'hard to believe' ! I love following the stories on this website, cheering when mums get great news and feeling such empathy with all the gender related stories (especially about all the comments you get from complete strangers !) I'm quite shy so havn''t posted much but just wanted to drop in and say hello again and thanks for being here In-gender!

Hi, Lindsay, and welcome back. Since you're from Scotland, I wish I could say all that in Gaelic. Most of my ancestors came from Scotland, so I would love to be able to read it AND pronounce it correctly.Happy Giggle

what a lovely story, 3 big brothers for your darling girl - Abigail is a beautiful name too. It must feel incredible to have a little girl after three sons, do you feel your family is complete now?  have you been enjoying shopping for her?  You're actually allowed to touch the pink stuff nowHappy Smile    Welcome back and enjoy your bub - they're just divine at that age, mind you 5 month olds are pretty jolly adorable too and 1 year olds, actually it's hard to beat an 18 month old, then again newborns are the most wonderful creatures, kinder kids are pretty cute too........... Arn't we lucky to share our lives with children

Thanks Opel - yes it is lovely having her after my three lovely boys - especially as we had given up hope of having a 4th altogether - we TTC for 2 years and had been making plans with the boys to get a puppy! (cocker spaniel) I had even taken up a small job at our nursery and then found out we were expecting! You can imagine the boys faces when we showed them the scan picture and explained they were getting a new baby and puppy would have to wait! However they came to 3D scan and were thrilled to see baby and find out it was a sister too! Yes I have been hitting the shops rather hard - it still all feels like a dream. Luckily DH doesn't seem to mind the sudden influx of girls clothes too much! Your boys will be great pals together - mine are a bit more spaced out - 12, 9 and 5.
